well its all starting to heat up in the pre season now.

Schumi is testing a gp2 car for the next 3 days at jerez.

all the team are having a group test there on the 1st to 3rd jan. The teams that are not currently attending are red bull as their car will not be ready in time and usf1 as they have been given special dispensation by the fia to test at alabama.

Alonso has now finally been seen wearing ferrari colours.

Kinda hope schumi does well, Hamilton/Button are so bland and media trained they just don't hold any interest for me. Not that Schumacher is particularly vibrant, but at least it livens things up a bit.

I thought I'd epic necro this thread instead of posting around the F1 Rejects forum seeing as we have a tasty season on our hands at the moment as well as being aware of some interest in this sport from the community. :p

Five races with five different winners from five different constructors (Australia: Button, McLaren; Malaysia: Alonso, Ferrari; China: Rosberg, Mercedes; Bahrain: Vettel, Red Bull & Spain: Maldonado, Williams). Only the 1983 season matches this record.

Another interesting fact is that before the weekend, a bet on Maldonado to win the Spanish Grand Prix was 1/250. :O Although the smart money would be on a Maldonado win in Monaco seeing as impressive record in the Junior categories and dragging that poor Williams last season to an impressive sixth...before Hamilton decided to use the tried and true "Gran Turismo tactic" (Use the other cars to slow you down) on him. :x

We have a Fantasy F1 league at work. I'm at the bottom with my team 'Felipe Mass-ive Mistake' - between him an Schumi I've only got +6 points in the season so far (from drivers) due to -12 points of DNFs/disqualifications.

Heh, I've gone for "The Finnishers" Raikkonen and Kovaleinen. Got the Mercedes engine and Torro Rosso chassis. Working out ok for me so far.
