I don't why I'm suddenly curious about this today, but I am. In your first playthrough of the original Half-Life, did you accept or decline G-Man's job offer? In other words, did you go for what later turned out to be the canonical route of employment, or choose the fight you had no chance of winning? I declined myself.

Accepted. As Valve like to say for left 4 dead, players tend to move towards light areas.

I didn't understand what the hell he was saying at that moment (much like when reading the thread name here), but I ended up in a fight.

Neither did I first time dibble, for a long time I had completed opp forces but not HL. I suggest you go back and finish it or I may never speak to you again

I've never completed it either since I've godmoded/quicksaved my way through every fps I've ever played I don't deserve too. I might replay again, it wonder if playing tf2 has made me any better.

Half Life 1 is not really worth playing past the point where you go to Xen.
For the record I accepted.

I honestly can't remember, I think I accepted. After I got it I played through it almost every weekend for about 2 months so recolections are a bit hazy! I still play it at least once a year .
