I think the classless refers to the tasteless nature of the game, rather then the fact there are different classes.

I'm not sure this is within Valve's powers ...

@Cruel: IIRC Robin Walker mentioned in an interview that the next update would be a general one.
There is a lot of reference in regard of class as in a class system (=status), so I guess they'll have something different in store for us.
