Right, so we managed to enter into the TF2 tournament today.
Were 24 teams in total. Since Twiggeh was away for the most part, our team consisted of:
Chaos
DeadlyAvenger
LtMama
Lewis
Yoshi
Mole (a merc we found)
So first were the group matches, 4 teams per group, play one map against each team on different maps. Essentially top team in each group progresses to the elimination rounds (6 groups = 6 teams) + 2 teams with the best points difference (i.e. how many points they have for and against)
First match was against Fragmasters on badlands. Unfortunately half their team were still in their tents with a hangover so didnt show, but they managed to get some of their CSS players to play, but was 6Vs5, however Mole decided not to play, so did end up being 5Vs5.
Anywho, we won 9-1
Next match was Dustbowl against "What's in the box?" aka #box?. This match was so fucking close! it was absolutely brilliant. We lost, but literally by mere seconds. We had to cap all 6 points in less than 12 minutes (the time they had set). They held us up during stage 1, however on stage 3, with approx 3 minutes, we managed to storm them and were attacking the final point with 1 minute to go. Result
ed in a fucking epic battle where almost everyone died, leaving an almost totally capped point with Chaos as a heavy running his fat ass off with a demo the only left defender with 5 seconds remaining (Me and Deadly sitting next to him screaming "RUN! RUN YOU FAT BASTARD!!!". Just as chaos was about to get on the point, the demo managed to get a single hit on him that knocked him just out of range, giving them the win. Was one of the few times you get a full blown adrenaline rush. Seriously, it was
that close. We ended up going over to see them (nice guys) to congratulate them on their win. so 1-0 to them
Finally we played [TO] on fastlane. Hmmm what to say about this one...steamroll just doesn't do it justice. we won 17-0...

So 2 wins and a lose. Box won our group so we were out....or were we?
That 17-0 win gave us the best points difference so hot damn We were into the Final 8
So our first match was cp_freight...one we obviously we rarely play (eek). But it was who it was against that was funniest. Clan [SAS] (who we've seen about with T-shirts with the normal "Who Dares...Wins" logo on and thought they'd think we were taking the piss if they saw ours
)
So Grinners Vs Winners...they won.
T'were 8-0 to them, they were 2nd seed (and are in the grand final infact). However it wasn't a total steam roll which was nice. (came so close to capping one of their final point, but unfortunately it was turned around) These guys are a competitive clan so we weren't all suprised
And thus we move into the loser elimination rounds (i.e. people who've lost play against other losers to determine place etc.
So the map is ctf_turbine (oh god) and guess who we are against?
None other than the [HAM] gang :O
Was a close match but alas, we triumphed 11-7 (FaN = the awesome on turbine, the ultimate quick escape whilst carrying the intel).
So onto the next round we went and we were against the box lads again on badlands. We started off very well (securing a 3-1 lead). However it seems they caught their stride and turned it over to win 5-3. Again, a very close match and very fun.
So now we're out and the finals are tomorrow morning.
But I'm pleased to announce that, by my calculations we, a non-competitive clan in an event that consisted of a fair amount of (tbh, proper dick some of them) very competitive clans finished:
