Everything else is okay, or at least things I can live with.
But item trading could be the beginning of a path I would hate to walk down (ending with rare items being auctioned on ebay ... yuk)

After freaking hours of playing today, I finally got one of the unlocks. Coincidentally the one I was most interested in; The Dead Ringer. Takes a fair bit of getting used to, but I'm fucking in love with this. Got me my highest score as a spy tonight but vice versa I dont think it's over powered. The cloak time is very short and it makes a pretty damn loud noise when you uncloak.

Highlight of the night was final stage of pipeline (a pretty awesome map imo), i get hit and therefore cloaked and flee to which the following voice interaction occurs;

Chug : "AMBASSADORED!"
*Pause*
Mama : "Did you just get me Chug?"
Chug : *smugly* Yeah
Mama : ...No you didn't
Chug : What? *sudden realistion* oh shit..."

Must admit I was caught out a couple of times by abda. One time sniped him and was feeling pretty smug, but suddenly realised, "oh shit, he aint dead" then I got back stabbed

its going to take some getting used to... the rest of it is pretty self explanitory.. but the dead ringer is the most "gameplay changing" part of the update (excluding the new game mode.. (Payload Race))

Trying to think of the most efficient way of dealing with a spy thats using it?

I think waiting for one to re-appear the first time.. once it happens.. start teabagging!
before that.. act asif nothing happened! (Unless you know of a spy who uses it regularly)

I love the ambassador. It might fire slower and do less damage aside from a hard to achieve headshot, but I want to curl up with it in bed, doubly so thanks to the lovely lady etched in it. And I will keep shouting 'AMBASSADOR'D' when all talk is on and I kill someone with it.

And it makes such a lovely noise. And has its own headshot icon.

Edit: Also I joined a server at 2am and promptly received the huntsman, jarate and another of my beloved handcannons. Only the watches to find and I can go back to revision happy. Until I get my first hat by accident and have to collect them all.

Yeah, at first I was like "WTF IS THIS SHIT??" "I CAN'T BLOODY CLOAK!!" but then I got used to it and pretty much was raping people, but it does depend on the situation, because when there's a massive firefight, you can often get spotted, and you can't cloak away (because you just used it all).

I think the dead ringer does seem useful at the moment, but don't forget you're playing on a server full of literal noobs and people who have no experience of it. What's going to happen once everyone knows?

If not, it might not be that powerful against experienced people.

How strong is the ambassador really? I thought yesterday against a spy who had it and it dealt so much damage, he didn't even disguise or cloak or sneak. He just stood next to soldiers and heavies and fired at us, dealing considerable damage!

Aye, you get a kill message etc. The downside of it is you obviously have to be shot to cloak, then it's only an 8 second cloak with a loud noise when you uncloak.

But I even recall me "killing" abda, and it saying I was dominating him, so I assumed I had def killed him, then suddenly he was giving me a back scratch

Yes the dead ringer displays a kill message.

The ambassador was fixed so it shouldn't do as much damage anymore, and it actually only does 85% of normal damage and has a 35% damage added on headshots (minicrit) if I am not mistaken.

And as Mama said, the dead ringer does act strangely when used.
