[Teatime]

Some of you have already known that I intended to revive an old TF-editorial website I was involved with during my time with TFC.

With the generous help by r007, who's also hosting my site (major thanks, mate), I have finally made that plan true.
So with that I present you the Fort.

It's basically a blog, so content will fill up over time.
The site is still a little rough around the edges (design-wise), there will be minor changes and (hopefully) improvements.

Give it a glance, tell me what you think and I hope you will revisit the Fort from time to time to see what my twisted brain has come up with  


And may I close with asking for a favor:
As much as everybody tells me my English is okay I know that there are still some clumsy phrases and grammatical errors. I would really be happy if you could point out the more severe ones to me, because that's the only way I can learn and improve. Thx for that in advance.

If you want a little help on the graphics side of things I'd be happy to throw some stuff together for you, I've done my fair share of design work for websites in the past.

You know, mode, not that I'd say you're predictable, but... I was totally expecting you to say that. (Just ask Teatime!)

Kidding aside, if you have any great ideas, we'd be happy to hear about them. I'll do my best to implement them, if Tea happens to like 'em (it's his site after all).

You forget to put apostrophes in some places, that's the first thing I can see really.

mode, I will be happy to milk some of your creative mind and talents. I'm pretty much crap in that area. (Remains to be seen if I'm less crappy on the writing side of things  )

What do you plan on doing with the site?
I'm not sure I understood fully from the intro text.

In a nutshell: Promote Teamplay, Fairness and Respect for your fellow players.
It usually involves telling people that they are ignorant assholes and should be kicked in the nuts (or other body parts that can be hurt by kicking), repeatedly.
I expect my side to be hugely popular on steampowered 

In fact that main problem with a site like this is that it's usually preaching to the choir while those who should actually read and think about that stuff will not touch the site with a ten-foot-pole.

Ah well, we will see.
If nothing else I'll get back into writing again. I have become so rusty in writing articles, in distilling relevant points and linking those together in a readable fashion. (Not that I think I'm very good at it, but I think I do okay).
Right now it's still a lot of effort, and I need several approaches and refinements for my stuff (and of course writing in english adds an additional layer to that), but it will get easier after a while.

I know there is already a 'guide to the classes' topic posted in the wdg forums, but was just wondering whether your planning to do anything like that, but better? I mean the WDG one is a bit out of date, since all the updates have come out, and a bit vague.
If anyone new on the server or in the forums wants tips, we could just direct them to your site (unless that is against the forum rules or something). I'm sure everyone has a few tips and trick ups their sleaves, whether its to do with how you might play a class or different tips for maps. Anyway, just a thought.

I also moan quite a lot about different classes, so if your ever in the mood on writing an article moaning aboat how annoying spies are and how annoying valve is, just give me a shout

But quite frankly that's exactly the kind of articles I have no interest in posting, since there are already a lot of sites already covering these topics.

But I agree that the thread here on the WDG site could use some overhaul and expansion. We have a lot of excellent people here who can provide a lot of inside into the strengths and weaknesses of all the classes and tactical tips.
Perhaps a few people here would be willing to attack that topic, preferably a bit more organized this time :p
