Hey Guys,

So, now that we hae four character updates, I'e been really curious as to how eeryone else sets up their characters.  I hae the kritzkrieg and blutsauger for the medic, but dont hae the ubersaw.  Hae all the unlocks for Pyro and Heavy.  Here's how I currently hae my guys set up:

Pyro: Backburner (during my playing, the crits hae come in a lot more handy than the air last)
         Shotgun (I'e neer eer had any use for the flare gun)
         Axestinguisher (dont use it too much, but it seems better)

Heavy: Natascha (I'e played a fair bit with Sascha, and although she seems good, in my opinion she seems eer so slightly worse for my style of play)
           Shotgun (Id rather hae this for when I run out of ammo then a sandich)
           KGB (just seem better than the fists, plus they look hilarious!)

Medic: Medigun (I prefer this to the kritzkrieg, although I am a strong belieer that teams are much better with one medigun and one kritzkrieg on the team)
         Blutsauger (loe the life draining thing, has helped me out in tight corners)
         As i said, I dont hae the ubersaw yet, but would probably use it in this slot.

So, how do you guys set up your characters? Is there a uniersally agreed 'best setup'?

Each set up is pretty much down to personal preference. Most medics will agree that the blut is better then the needle gun and that the ubersaw is better then the bonesaw, but pretty much everything else is down to what you prefer!

My loadout is usually this, I don't have all the heavy stuff as I never play him and I don't use any of the scout unlocks.

Pyro - Flamer/Flaregun/Axti
Medic - Blut/depends/Ubersaw

Pyro
Normal flamethrower - the airblast is so much more useful than the BB
Shotgun - although i do sometimes use the Flare gun if i'm bored
Axtinguisher - it's just such a good weapon

Scout
Scattergun - the FaN doesn't do enough damage or have a large enough clip and the extra jump/push back isn't that useful
Pistol - it's just better than Bonk!
Normal bat - i've got over the Sandman plus i being able to double jump

Heavy
Sascha - i don't play Heavy enough to get a real idea of how useful each one is so i just stick to the standard
Shotgun - if you need a sandvich to heal yourself then there's something wrong with your team
KGB - 5 seconds of crits is better than taunt kills

Medic
Blutsauger - who needs crit needles when you can steal other people's health?
Normal Medigun - although i do sometimes use the kritz for soldier/heavy kritz fun Grin
Ubersaw - it gives you 25% uber with each hit, nuff' said.

Scout - All originals
Dont play these much but:
Pyro - Normal Flamer/ Either secondary /Axtinguisher
Medic - Blut/ Bit of both /Ubersaw
Heavy - Usually natasha now / Shotty / KGB

Btw I think you have something wrong with your 'v' key on your keyboard Smiley

All vanilla but the pyros ax sometimes I switch to the backburner..
Heavy is vanilla.
Scout [never play] is all vanilla.
Medic has the ubersaw and the blutsauger and from time to time the kritz.

Blutsauger - Ofcourse
Medigun/Kritzkrieg - In Publicgames I often use the kritz and in clan matches I use it when the situation is perfect (e.g. a heavy on granary or the midpoint on Freight)
Ubersaw - Ofcourse

Pyro:
Flamethrower - I use the Backburner on nocrit-Servers
Shotgun - If you have some good aiming skills, its really the better choice
Axtinguisher

Heavy:
Sascha
Shotgun - See pyro
KGB

Scout:
Scattergun - The FaN just sucks, really
Pistol
Normal Bat - On Publicservers I often use the sandman but since its nerfed its sh*t.

Pyro:

Flamethrower - Air blast is very useful against rockets and Übers.
Flaregun - Brilliant for pissing people off.
Axestinguisher - I don't see how this can be any worse than the fire axe (except in SD).

Heavy:

Natascha - Only since the recent update.
Shotgun/Sandvich - Depends on the situation, if I have a good medic, the shotgun is a good choice, but when you aren't guaranteed one, the sandvich is very useful (it's rare I run out of ammo).
KGB -  Worth it for the crits.

Medic:

Medigun/Kritzkrieg - depends who I'm mostly healing (and what the team requests).
Blutsauger - Obvious choice.
Übersaw - Again, obvious, apart from in SD, there is no reason not to use this, you can easily get Übercharge much faster (probably get 20% faster Übers overall).

Scout

Force A Nature - I know most good scouts hate this, but I need it to jump (I have the sandman equipped) and I prefer the quicker firing, so you can run round a corner and blast 2 off in their face before they realise.
BONK! - Very useful if you run into a SG in-between you and the point, or intel (or you're just cornered by a nasty heavy).
Sandman - Even though it's nerf'd the "BONK" effect is great to piss people off.

Heavy
Mostly Sasha - depends if I'm defending or not. Natascha good on defence. Sasha very powerful if used correctly and if you can get nose to nose with other heavies it works great.
Shotgun - a must have for spy protection when you run about. Miniguns take too long to spin up. No point having a sandwich - a good heavy knows where the health is or keeps his medic alive Wink I also chew up ammo quite a bit as I shoot pretty much anyone and everything around me. Shotty covers my arse when I need it to
KGB or Fists - either as a last resort really.

Pyro
Flamethrower with airblast for sure - as demonstrated by the master Hex, its a fantastic anti-uber device and really saves your team mates.
Fireaxe (dont have axetinguisher) - and I tend not to switch to melee to finish people off (no matter how efficient it migh be)

Medic
Blutslaughter
Medigun (standard ubercharge - sometims Kritzkreig but rarely)
Standard saw (dont have ubdersaw)

Scout: Only got the first unlock yet (Sad), so the unlock-shotty (fan?) and the normal stuff

Medic: Blutsauger and ubersaw are no-brainers, most of the time medigun, from time to time kritzkrieg.

Pyro:
A long time I've felt the backblast way superior since it can stop übers etc. Recently I've become fond to the backburner. It's the lazy mans axetingisher plus it even gets some damage in if they jump out of melee-range. Plus I'm pretty bad with deflecting rockets Cheesy
So now I use backburner on defense and backblast on offense (clearing stickies can get critical there.).

Flaregun. Shotty is a weak gun on mid-range anyway, short-range I got my superior flamethrower. Setting snipers on fire on the other side is great fun >Smiley Plus it works great hand in hand with the axetingisher (which is again a no-brainer imho!).

Heavy:

Well, I hardly play him, but when I usually use Natasha (die you pesky little scouts, you know who you are!), sandwich (omnomonom!) and boxing gloves (though I see no situation where I would be boxing as a heavy).
