Couple of questions for you:
Can anyone tell me what the next level medic healing gun does as it doesn't uber? And does anyone actually use it, or am I being stupid?!?!
Can you set your mike up so you don't need push to talk?

1. It gives only critical hits 2. Indeed people do and it can actually work very well 3. Nope sorry...there might come a patch in the future but no one knows.

That'll be the kritz, it gives the person recieving it unlimited critz for 10 seconds rather then invunerability. It's alot more difficult to use properly as you can die whilst using it so not many medics use it. It is very effective to use well though, just takes a bit of getting used to! As for the mic thing, not that I know of, for me that'd be too embaressing anyway as I tend to rant/gloat quite a lot off mic!!

so is the 2nd level healing gun better for use with a heavie, i.e. hitting people from further away so you don't get killed? Or does the rushing in thing work better becuase you kill them quicker?

Aye. generally decent kritz target tend to be Soldiers and Heavys, demos can also work well too.
Kritz is actually my favourite medi gun, I'd rather use it over the normal gun, but obviously normal uber is much more useful. One mega benefit of the kritz is it charges 25% quicker than the usual medi gun

voice-activated-voice-chat has it's disadvantages...it's more of an annoyance for others players if you have the threshold set too low and we can hear you breathe/cough/shout at your missus etc.

i have a helpful comment - when you're medic, don't heal someone who is already being healed by another medic, both our ubers go slower if there are 2 medics healing the same person. i'd have told you on the server but my mic isn't working properly

sometimes its that hectic i can't see who i'm healing, or i end up healing the wrong one of the two people that are stood close to each other, but as soon as i see that i stop, unless i was healing them first, apologies if i cocked up.

I doubt anybody would consider it a "cock up". It's a learning curve we all move along. Some are just a but further ahead. And anyway, we praise and pamper our medics , so there's never the need to apologize as long as you try ...
