So you join the server on a busy night 16 VS 16, your team has a nice round number [1-2] of each class [maybe they're even using my patented two snipers techniqueTM] well there is only one medic and he is doing a good job but also is having a hard time, now you of course go spy/soldier/pyro not medic...why?

I really want to know what is required for you to go medic? What do you need me to do as a co-medic? What what?! Please someone suggest something that would make medic more desirable!

Generally, if theres a nicely balanced team with only 1 medic when I join, I probably would go medic to be honest. The more I get looked after, the more I'm inclined to continue playing medic. I don't mind switching, but if I die every time I get 20% uber because the pyro I was healing buggered off and left me on my own facing a solly/heavy/pyro andmedic combo I'm probably going to ragequit like tonight. The other thing I like when playing medic is classes to heal/uber. Not 4 scouts, a sniper and 3 engies also like tonight. I don't know, maybe where I haven't been playing it that much I don't get as much enjoyment out of it any more, but it does seem even more of a thankless task then usual of late! Maybe I'm just speaking after a frustrating evening.

I was mediccing solo for the majority of this evening until you joined me mark - something you just kind of have to get used to.

Didn't appreciate ubering some tool for him to run into the enemy base and try to flare gun nobody, rather than set fire to everyone.

Aye, I don't mind occasionally going medic, for the most part, it just isn't my sorta "bag". THough I think when I do do it, I'm not too bad. But as has been said, I hate not having anyone to uber etc, not being looked after, or ubering a tool who just wastes it leaving you slamming your head on the table.

Because if I'm the medic on the team I'm TOO DAMN GOOD FOR THE OTHER TEAM TO WIN. Adding a second medic would just ASPLODE THE SERVER. Cheesy

No, I don't know mark. Why does anyone go any class? They want to have fun, not go with predefined "rules" about "how many medics" are needed.

I personally get more a little frustrated at too many support classes, such as scouts, snipers and spies, then the lack of medics quite often (since those 3 are the least direct at affecting any games outcome generally). A medic isn't necessary to win - but a good solid set of offensive classes usually are unless you're very lucky! (So half a team of support rubbish won't ever win Wink even with 4 medics or something).

Yeah, and that's another thing, I am very class-number orientated, so If we have no soldiers, or no medics - I will usually fill the gap - for the good of the team.

Even if it does mean I get pwnt and angry and play a class I don't like.
