ha, thought I'd share my night here. Wouldn't have been enough room in the shoutbox. As I already said, had to go onto checkouts at work today *shudders*
anywho, went to my local pub tongiht for the pub quiz (jordan might know it, The Bear?). Anywho, I'm already in a good mood cos I got my student loan through today. But me housemates all owed me money for bills so thought "hot damn, I'm not gonna have to pay anything tongiht"
But it got better than that. The quiz itself was a massive fail (we pwned on the foreign currency and harry potter round though
), but every week the pub has a random question above the bar with 6 possible answers. You pay 50p per guess and if you guess right, the answer on the board is initially covered with the prize you win, so guess that answer you win that prize.
So the question this week was "Films with numbers in the title". So far they had The 39 steps, 101 Dalmations and 7 brides for 7 brothers.
Anywho, a couple of thing popped into my head, so took a £1 and went to the bar to make some guesses. 1st try - 12 Angry Men = FAIL. so trying to think of something that maybe most wouldn't think of and it comes to me "2 Fast 2 Furious" (purely cos a new one came out recently) and hot damn it was right! won 2 free drinks! (Mode will be happy to know I got 2 pints of spitfire
).
Also my housemate seems to be mates with the ladies down at the local pizza place (he's trying to do the attractive one...yea...there really is one) so went down there a sec ago and got some cheap pizza.
Also some guy who was blind in one eye randomly chatted to me for ages in the pub about Jap movies and Bruce Lee...then walked home with me...His name was Tony...or as he insisted, "T'n'T"
