Sieh an, ein Pfälzer

Noch dazu derzeit im feindlichen Saarland wohnhaft.

Note to the non-natives: Most germans have a (more or less) strong connection to their native Bundesland... Especially noticeable in border regions, such as where I'm from. Even though there is no really noticeable border (aside from an Autobahn sign) and the cities tend to not have a border either or even completely merge, there's often a sense of "us" against "them". This is especially prominent between arch-enemies like Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, or, say, Bavaria and the Rest of Germany.

Me as a Palatinian ("Pfälzer") living in "enemy territory" is thus very uncommon, and usually results in drogatory - if not completely sincere - comments from the natives. I ensure you it's all quite funny.
