Loaded it up on my Smartphone and it's a seriously cool app. Needs a bit of work yet but a world class freebie!
And if you're seriously sad you can have my Google log on to find out where I'm hanging out.

Not so much chaos, you can hide your location, or even force your location to a fixed place.
Big Brother doesn't need Latitude to track your mobile anyway.
Anyway, i tried it on my mobile but couldn't get it installed (I have an unusual make/model).

Haha! Yes, it does look a bit like Big Brother but that's exactly what I'd use it for (or a purpose built variant, in fact) - so I can track some of the lazy fuckers who work (or not) for me.
But you can turn it off.

Nice one Phil - looks good doesn't it. As for big brother, they know all about you already Jordan. You probably already have a tracking device in your bowel without ever knowing it.

I tried it but my phone won't have anything to do with it. I'm quite glad 'cos it is a bit creepy and weird.

Google can locate you via your wireless network. They use a company called Skyhook Wireless ( http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitworks/coverage.php where you can see their coverage map - the UK is quite well covered) who go around 'wardriving' where they detect the MAC address of the wireless access point and tag it with GPS. I tried it on my new iPod Touch. I opened up the Google Maps app, clicked the 'home' button and it zoomed and centred the map with the pin directly on my house!

Downloaded it today. Apparently I'm currently chilling out on a railway track about 400m away, but impressive nonetheless.

Actually, I think it's probably a useless but delightful toy. I keep showing everybody where I am on my phone. Durr...
But there is serious potential business wise and I think, as a parent, I would quite like to be able to track the nipper if needed.
