@Chaos : Take your point and you're right - however, I really don't like 'stun' as a game mechanic. Taking control away from the player like that is awful.
It kinda reminds me of the  medics conc grenade in TFC. Fortunately this one doesn't last as long Smiley

I tried out the FaN, and whilst it is kinda cool, it's not that effective at killing.

Especially combo-ed with the AWESOMESAUCE that is the Sandman (wasn't fond of it at first, loosing mah double jump and all, but is a worth trade off). Basically stun someone, then run up and put the both barrels to their chest and blow them away Cheesy But the reload on the FaN takes to long to kill anyone quickly. So think I'll be sticking with me Scattergun

See other thread but I really don't see the issues. The Uber thing does bother me and I can see why a Heavy player would have issues. But, of course, the airblast has been able to counter Ubers for some time.

I can only speak as an Engie and Soldier (shot a lot of rockets tonight) and I didn't see any major balance issues (beyond the Uber thing).

I kinda agree that maybe being able to fully stun an uber is a bit of a ball buster (pun?). I reckon they should maybe reduce it's effect time when a person is ubered or something...I dunno...

I think that if they remove the stunning ubers the sandman will be fine, so far I've only seen scouts do a successful kill a few times and I always try to heal the stunned people to keep them from unnecessary death.

About the new maps, still hate Junction...no point in trying to save it, egypt is okay but one too many engineers will ruin it, still haven't played fastlane.

Natasha works well against scouts, would of got 10 times more kills though if Rob didn't keep backstabbing me every 5 seconds.

I get the message, backstab now works.  Now stop it.

The energy drink will be a pain in the ass for engineers if used properly.

Give the new maps time, I hated Badwater when it was released.

I know I haven't even played the update yet so I can't really judge, but in general I think that the medic hasn't been given a break with the past few updates. Sad There's now 3 classes that can mess up an uber and little the medic can do to counter them. They're the only updated class that doesn't have a kill taunt. The last positive thing to happen to the medic was the kritzkrieg bluff, which frankly, should have been in the game since the medic update. I hope in future valve shows some love to the class that, more than any other, has to rely on the skill of his teammates.

Whats worse is that if you stun a medic on uber, the medic stands still, still ubered, but the poor chap he was ubering loses his charge altogether Sad  Talk about leading the lambs to the slaughter lol

So far i think the update has generally been good, apart from breaking the Axtinguisher.
Most of the new weapons seem useful, i haven't unlocked them yet so i've only seen them from the angry end.
The FAN seems ok, although i haven't really seen it being effective yet, i haven't noticed any knockback effect and the damage it does seems to be pretty low.
I would say Bonk is very good, i haven't encountered it much so i can't really tell if it's ridiculously overpowered or just very useful. I do like the effects it causes though Grin
I think sandman is pretty useless to be honest, obviously against ubers it's pretty powerful. I was hit a couple of times by it and i wasn't killed or really even damaged that much (maybe i was just lucky), so i reckon sacrificing double jump is just too much for that.

I really quite like Egypt, it seems like a solid alternative to dustbowl, i just need to learn my way around it now Cheesy. I'm not too sure about Junction though, i really didn't enjoy playing it last night, but i suspect that was largely due to severely unbalanced teams, so i'll give it time to impress me (but i still think the doors are too small).

Hopefully I can change that opinion by playing with you at some point Tongue It's obviously pretty useless in the hands of a scout whos just hitting them at people. But if you follow them up, can be devastating. I can pretty much front charge a heavy with it cos they have to wind up, they get bonked, I put the gun to their chest and start firing, bonk wears off and they have to wind up again by which time, they're dead. I think removing the double jump is def a fair trade for it. I reckon if I still had it I could turn into a serious pain in the ass Cheesy
