absolutely! nearly all of the vehicles were fantastically overpowered v all the noobs running along the ground  Grin
You have no idea how powerfull the sniper was in BF2 I guess, I never used vehicles because of him.

I could shoot through the cockpit of planes and I could kill people in jeeps from miles away.

People in tanks were the only problem I ever faced and with a good engineer/rocket launcher man around it was not really a problem.

You played on the wrong servers we never really used the tanks (and the cars were a waste of time because of the fact that they could not get to the good sniper places)

But one of the guys behind the game said that at least 100.000 of the once that so far has signed up are sure to get into the beta at some point (be it open beta or the current closed one)
