The Final "Help a medic" List

1. If you see a friendly medic being chased by an enemy don't just run past ignoring the fellow team mate - HELP him!
2. Don't expect us to start healing you just because you spam the medic key in front of us.
3. In defence make sure the medic has some one stay back at the point (other than a engineer) to heal, don't expect us to follow you into the enemy with a 50% uber ready.
4. Check your backs ALOT don't just run aimless forward letting the poor medic fend for himself at your tail.
5. If your lucky enough to receive the magical uber remember to check your medics condition just before the uber ends and adjust your tactics so you can BOTH survive / fallback if need be.
6. When a medic has 100% uber ready LOOK AFTER HIM, even if that means jumping into a crit rocket - he is more important than you!
7. Kill scouts - people seem to ignore them because they're tricky to kill, but they'll take out a medic easily.
8. Ignore scouts - they are rubbish at killing medics.
9. no 9 because late show is so funny.
10. Accidental ubers are terrible but they happen!
11. Ignore point 8, if in doubt, refer to point 7.
12. If you're a pyro, remember that medics need LINE OF SIGHT (and you run faster than they do).
13. If you are with a medic and you get attacked by a pyro, DON'T TAKE THE FREAKING HEALTH PACK!! I can put you out, but no-one else can put me out. Leave it.
14. I am not yours to keep if I heal you one round doesn't mean that I will next round!
15. Dont look at point 11. if you get sarcasm
16. Remember medics are the second fastest class so pyros are actually slower
17. A medic healing that happens to have uber doesn't mean he is going to uber you!
18. A medic healing you is not a reason to run head first into the entire enemy team.
19. There is hardly ever a need, on defence, to continue chasing down the enemy after an uber has ended. It will most likely get you both killed- especially if the rest of the team didn't push back with you.
20. That uber you just received may have been to save his life. Not all ubers are a call to charge head first into things!
21. When I switch to my syringe gun and start pelting enemies that got too close don't freaking yell at me because I stopped healing. Instead find a good reason why you ignored the enemies hell-bent on kicking my squishy parts in the first place.
22. When your heavy starts shooting at the enemy, its never a good idea to stop healing and run in front to finish off his kills. Smiley
23. Junta is a damn liar getting free kills by stealing from heavies is a good idea!
24. Always buff demos and soldiers... so we can use the extra health to rocket / pipe jump.
25. Dont have Uber ready, heal them all the way to the front line then leave them to die as they expect to have an uber that never comes.
26. Demos and soldiers, after receiving your buff, please don't RJ off into the distance leaving us defenceless. At least wait until there are other people about to take care of us!

I find that stacking healing beams does not speed up the healing rate very much (if at all)

I thought this needed a bump as people seem to have forgotten about this. Also, if you've just joined a team, look at the class screen. If there isn't a medic, take one for the team and go medic please. I'm sick of moaning about the lack of medics, I'm doubly sick about constantly having to change to medic and I'm FUCKING INSANELY PISSED OFF at the lack of care people are taking of their medics.



edit - Whilst I'm ranting, working as a team usually produces pretty good results I've heard.

Hell.. I always try to protect my medics
I let that skill or trait slide when I was spy, but no medic heals spies anyways (there are of course some that do)
But now I'm playing solly, I really start to appreciate medics and look after them because of that!
If I'm not so good at keeping you alive, say something please

Thanks, but I only look out for people who needs to get healed and buff everyone as good as possible.
The last days I switched more often to medic, for the same reason hzza mentioned above.

Publics are not fun for me anymore. I dunno what happened but NOONE plays medic anymore except for me (Im not talking about the WDG server), but theres always only one team who has a medic and this team is gonna steamroll the other team, its always the same. After 600 hours of playing the game, Im coming to a point, where scrims and practicing with my clan is the only thing that makes this game worth playing for me. Thats sad...

I hope I haven't let you down today, Tom, when you were medic'ing me
I can't hardly protect myself (as my KPD impressively demonstrates) so relying on me to protect a medic is not really realistic. But consequently I don't expect more from a medic than some occasional love

I do my best with my medics, and I'll always ask them to retreat if I'm going on a suicide run, or if we're being attacked and I don't think that I can protect them adequately.

Not at all Tea, you were one of the ones actually trying to help defend me. Also, this isn't something I've noticed just today (although it was especially bad today) but seemingly over the last few weeks has been getting worse and worse.
