As a web designer I feel I can contribute to this topic

I'm viewing the site on my laptop which uses Firefox (it's also Linux), and on my work computer which is (sadly) running IE7.
Firefox:The bottom navigation bar seems to merge in to the main body area without a break in the middle (which happens on IE). Personally I find it better with the split as it helps break it up a little.
IE:I don't know whether this an IE problem, or more likely our ThinClient setup here but the text rendering makes it very difficult to read the smaller pieces of text. The bigest culprit is the bit under "Trade & DIY Centre" on the right-hand side, it's very difficult to read. The headings above each section in the main body could also do with a small size increase.
Overall it's a very impressive overhaul, and a huge improvement on the original. Just a few things but I think that's more likely down to the technology here at work rather than anything a customer would be viewing it on (low-powered machines don't have the highest graphics processing in the world).
Also, run it through the Markup Validator (
http://validator.w3.org) - I was most surprised to find out you actually missed the <html> tag

There are a few other errors you could fix quite easily to get some perfect validation.
Be proud and give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done
