this game finally has filthy beggar children in the streets. Forming a new and super irritating child-beggar hybrid, who is both more annoying and invulnerable to any form of attack. The horror.
If anyone did buy deluxe edition, ubisoft are special, first you put your cd key in uplay. But then to activate your deluxe content you put the key in the game on the extras menu :/. Took me awhile to figure out. uplay so bad it doesn't even download your games... (had to use gmg capsule for that).
I'm impressed with the new mp tutorial, filled in some gaps in my knowledge, or maybe I wasn't paying attention in revs. The mp in general looks a bit more interesting in terms of progression. They are also doing events but we missed the first one because the game wasnt out. THANKS UBI. Not sure what the events rewards are for might be trophies or might just be some consumables.
EDIT I love how more alive the cities are in sp, i've petted kitties, dogs, pigs, cows, chickens, turkys, goats, sheep and stepped on a rat. The carts using the roads help a lot too, one of them was even a shop. This is something I felt skyrim was missing, wagons moving goods, and a greater variety of wildlife. Skyrim has a lot of wildlife but its missing the smaller things like rats and cats and squirrels, also the birds that just lay their eggs absolutely everywhere and then leave them for the casual adventurer to eat. They even filled solitude with eagles because they couldn't be bothered to make seagulls :/. Skyrim is waaaay more provincal than boston but I wish it had somewhere with a bit of hustle and bustle.
One thing that sucks is redcoats popping in, sometimes they will appear way off in the distance no problem, but sometimes they pop in stupidly in front of you, and given they are bright red and highly contrasting with everything else its sorely noticeable, to the point its making me aware when brown things do it against a brown background.
Was really impressed with a thunderstorm until I realised noone gave a shit, weather is great but people should react to it. Ok they might not have umbrellas but they are going to start running for cover, or just moving faster down the streets etc, or the annoying orphans could splash in puddles or something.
