I was playing this on a server the other night and it seemed more fun than regular melee SD. Same idea, except you get a random class at the start rather than all being medic/whatever. Naturally one side might have a spy and the other a heavy or something, but that's what makes it little more interesting. No idea if this is technically possible with our setup, but I always find plain melee a bit unsatisfying.

Hmm... I quite like having all the same class. It's always most fun when you get an all Heavy or all Spy game. |

So everyone gets a random class on an individual rather than team basis? Sounds bette to me. Give me the ip of the server it was on, if u can remember it and I'll have a go.

Yes, on an individual basis. I agree all-spy can be fun, but all soldier/demo/etc always feels a bit random.

I'm not sure... if our late night melee sessions have taught me anything, it's that some classes are better for melee than others- the sniper really isn't up to much, and a pyro with an axtinguisher is next to useless without flames.
