Back to your own flag but you can only cap it if your flag is back home. Its usually best to give it to someone with more HP (a Doom, Soldier or Juggernaut) if you only sit in base waiting for it (press z/y to throw). |

I was a Soldier. I grabbed it from someone who had just been killed....may be our flag wasn't home because I'm sure I went back to the base and nothing happened.
That would explain that.
I'm not 100% sure how to heal either...do I regenerate health or are there pick-ups?

You regenerate after a few seconds or by using a prebuilt inventory station (you dont if you hold the flag), theres no healing per se, theres a perk though (survivalist) which gives you a small healthbonus when picking up fallen ammokits.
