Would say though, don't watch the vids if you're honestly interested as it'll spoil half the lols

As a vehicle for delivering TF2 items and advertising Telltale games, its awesome. The banter (especially Strong Bad and HWG) is epic, although it does start repeating itself after about an hour.

As a poker game, its fucking terrible! Bad AI means they go all in with shit hands (couple of times I've had them go all in with nothing, like, un-suited 7, 2 or bottom pair), unpredicable betting patterns means you can't really bluff or bully them and you can only see 1 of your cards...

Worth the £3 I pre-ordered it for for the banter and items, but I wouldn't recommend it as a "good" poker game in its own right.

Poker Night is great purely because the dialogue is amazing at times.

If you can only see one card i think you've got it on 'hard'. Good poker bots do have unpredictable betting, and the all in behaviour most of the time seems reasonable, most of the time they go all in on shit cards is when they have lost control of the money in which case they are trying to bluff back enough money to exert some control over the bets.

What was the cash distribution when they did that? were they significantly behind, I see them do it when they are desperate in an all or nothing situation. I've had no problems with graphics price you pay for pc gaming.

I've had them do it on the first hand of a new tourney, when they've been chip leader as well as bottom, which is why I'm saying its bad AI and not a specific strat.

There are some subtle differences I've noticed.

Like Heavy and Strong Bad are more than willing to put down a lot of money even on weak hands. Tycho, unless he's put in a blind bet, won't call/raise unless he has a strong hand a majority of the time. Max is kinda the same as the other two, although Strong Bad is the worst for raising at stupid times. xD

well given that its aimed at the casual market for people probably new to poker I guess its appropriate to their level, i programmed a simplistic poker ai once, its hard and also computationally expensive, a single pc would struggle with having run 4 players cards and graphics.

I'm enjoying it so far. Only playing on normal difficulty, and as hzzy says they're generally very aggressive...but the banter is fun and I've had my 3 quids worth already.

Agree with Leftism on the characters. Max tends to be either pretty smart or just insane, Heavy tends to raise pre-flop and tries to bully you out of playing. I find Tycho relatively savvy 1 on 1.

Had the Heavy go All in pre-flop with a terrible hand. Sometimes the game is just bad at poker, but then so am I so it evens out.
