PPS. Why haven't we grown up and stopped playing direct ball? I get fed up of seeing good passing play spoilt by someone speculatively knocking it long and losing possesion. Still, passing got better in 2nd half of game.

PPPS. Why choose a keeper from a premier team that has struggled all season? I'd rather have chosen a keeper performing well in the Championship!

To be fair, apart from missing EVERY chance that came his way, he did alright yesterday. Still agree that our strikers should be scoring though...

Makes me has a sad, I watched the Argies before this game and whenever they couldn't play a short pass forward, they went back and started again: if we can't play a short pass forward it just gets fucking lumped and given away.

Slightly disagree as I still think Jamo's the man. Rob Green is the new Scott Carson; hopefully he'll never put the shirt on again, I've NEVER rated him tbh.

I don't think he's a great keeper, but I'd still have had James - more experienced and a bit more authority at the back. I thought Heskey was utter rubbish - yes, he supports Rooney well, but ... get up off the damn floor, you big useless idiot (and while you're at it, take a look at the offside law).

Definitely agree on the direct ball, and the number of times we have the ball in midfield and 30 seconds later its back with our keeper is a bit worrying.

I suppose we always start like this so shouldn't panic...but 1-1 flattered us.

To be fair to him, one of the times the flag went up he was actually significantly on-side. He would have had a decent chance there too.

I don't think we were flattered with 1:1 either, Our defense was better all-round and we definitely created more quality chances for ourselves. Should really have been more like 3:1.

My theory is that Capello wishes to fuck that John Carew was english, and Emile Heskey is the closest we can get.

I never thought Rob Green was bad but wouldn't of been my first choice.

I detest that we play this man year after year. He does nothing except push his weight around, and that doesn't work on organised teams. Try that on the Italians and they'll get you carded... far too clever for that.
