You can also run a tracert <server ip> from the command prompt and that may indicate where the problem is.

Tracert failed for me lol.. but then again I have no server issues at the moment.

Try using a free program called winmtr then (google it)...it runs a persistent traceroute and also does a constant ping too (so you get multiple readings)

tbh tracert is good for find breaks in the comms. If you want to find slow connections along the way... pathping <serverip> ....is a lot better

Yeah, MOAR lags! Not solved. Prolly network issues. Might me just heavy load. Or the server HW sucks.

Can I ask that people keep a log of dates for me please? That way I can at least try and tie it in to specific events. Once I have some data I can come up with a plan of action (for example, simplifying the mods on the server to see if it improves performance). I also need some data before I can yell at the server host again. For all those affected, please visit NuB server and tell me if you have the same issues. They are with the same TF2 server host as us! Should get a good game in too

It's not that it constantly lags. It just stops completely for about two seconds 2-3 times per round. As far as I can tell the whole team is affected, as everyone is always at the same spot for me as before the lag spike. The ping is fine, tracert won't help here.

Yep, I've been getting fps spikes too. Dunno if it's on my side, but it clearly is not lag. Both tracert and pathping show a fine connection. (0 packets lost, <45ms packet response time)

Had some epic lag spikes today.. everyone just stalled for a second or so at a time.. Nothing special going on at the time (IE- no sudden death/map votes ect)

Yep, just in the middle of the game. No votes or anything. Stalls so long that connection time out starts to run and reaches about 24 seconds when counting down then it runs fine again. Sure it's a server side issue. Just need to figure out if its HW or SW related or network related. We cant do much. Just leave ping running. When having a spike check the ping results immediately and record date time and section of ping results. The spikes occurred more often later in the late evening. Had some of them between 11 pm and 12 pm GMT +2 for sure. Guess I'm going spike camping

I like the extra data but PLEASE help me (see my earlier post....I need MUCH more information please)
I've now reported the performance issue to Rackage, but I need to follow up with stats - report times and dates when you see this issue please!
In the meantime - please try server 2 and tell me if it is the same?
