I don't know why they keep making different games with the same freaking name, it's going to get hella confusing...

Anyway, pre-orders up on Steam including some other random game and skins for £25 but I'm sure its only £18 off of Amazon/Play. I for one will defo be getting this, loved the first 2 but never took them on line.

The first one was bastard hard but EPIC in skirmish coop. I remember playing one map (I think it's called stranded) for the whole weekend on a lan party, where you have to defend a bunker from a neverending stream of aliens. You know you are going to die, you just have to see if you can live a little bit longer (think survival mode on L4D). Loved this game, just purchased it again, but the multiplayer is not in it yet.

The new one also looks good, but I won't be buying it right away. Game overflow. Shutting down.

Just read that this will be one of the game, where you can put your retail code in and register it with Steam. It's currently very cheap at zavvy.com, so I'll probably order it there and register with steam.

I'm judging from the first game, which was made by the same developers (this is basically a remake of the first game, but I guess the levels are new). It had an incredible atmosphere of futility and was probably the only game, where you are aware of your own mortality as a human soldier, without anything at all happening.

Basically great atmosphere, three asymetrically balanced parties and a blast in multiplayer. As a human, you are a prey, about to get your head bitten off at any given moment, with only little ammo and a scanner, which scares you more than it helps. Teamwork and caution are what needed here. As an alien, you get to run up and down the walls and ceilings, scaring the poor marines, lurking on the ceilings, as they are creeping below you (it's just fun, trust me), as a predator you can make yourself invisible, kill silently or see in the darkness, while jumping around in the trees (though I enjoyed predator in the first game the least).

And you get a single player campaign from the point of view of every species (so basically 3 games). If it's anything like the first game but built with current technology, it is a great value for THAT price.

It's all about the marines in these games, I always found the predator to be easymode and the alien a bit too 1 dimensional. We should definatly get a group going though when it comes out, would be well up for that.

Just what I was thinking, I remember playing an ollllld AvP game and playing the predator was easymode as you said practically instagibbing marines. if we do get something going with this game I imagine it will be a bit like playing the hidden: running around trying to avoid an invisible killing machine. it's got my vote anyways ^^

It's £2.99 and single player only aparently. I heard rumors that they're looking to patch in the multiplayer but can't find my source...

Still, probably worth £3 for just the single player IIRC.
