@disco: I disagree aswell, later weapons/unlocks etc. do give quite an update, especially medic guns profit a lot of red dot for example.

And throw the manual into the garbage bin. I read it once and discovered 3 factual errors!

The point of MW2 is to see how many times you can get called a "knife noob/camper/fag/racial slur" in the shortest amount of time, which I'm really really good at.

The actual leveling is a pain in the arse; took me 5 hours to get a knife attachement for my pistol which is pretty imperitive to my playstyle. And now I've unlocked a better pistol I have to do it all over again...

In other news I'll probably get this when I get home; is it cheaper then £25 on Steam?

I'm guessing you can't activate on Steam/it doesn't have steamworks built in then?

£5 for having it now and not having to worry about disks etc seems Ok I guess.

Lets just say that the game doesn't interact with steam anyway. You can still register it with steam and that way your friends can see that you are playing it?

PS. Be prepared for epic fail in two other areas:

1) The server browser sucks (although there has been an update?)
2) The in game voice comms are broken (i.e. don't work) - mumble is better anyway

I turned off voice comms to save bandwidth anyway... also, you might wanna change your FOV

Yup, I think it defaults to 70 degrees infront of you in TF2 with the max being 90 (or 110, can't remember). Basically, the higher you have it, the more peripheral vision you get :. higher = better.

As far as I understand it, I could be wrong though...

Try 90 in TF2, might stop you getting stabbed so much. 10 degrees in either direction is barely noticable anyway, but every little helps .

Also, @Chaos, first thing I do with every new game I try is piss around with the settings to get them more like my TF2 set up, so no doubt I'll play around with that crap at some point. I'm guessing you can change all that balls in the menus and not have to play around in the .ini files like Borderlands/ME2?

The FoV Described in tf2 is VERTICAL not horizontal. Horizontal FoV varies with your aspect ratio settings. So if you use 4:3 with 90 fov, you'll have less horizontal fov than if you were running at 16:10. 16:9 (1080/720 ect) is the best default aspect ratio for a good FoV but you can change your aspect ratio to anything within the confines of your desktop resolution. For example.

My monitors maximum res is 1920*1200. I play at 1920*1080 but I can set it to 1920*500 for a massive increase to my field of vision, Allowing me to see more of my surroundings and spot those spies. I don't however because it starts to have a fish eye lens effect and begins to make me a little sick

My point is.. that it's usually the same for all games these days because being able to see the 90deg up and 90deg down would be retarded... so it's fixed this way (I know, I know.. silly exaggeration but who cares..)
