Hey, this game is pretty damn sweet, and I don't say "sweet" very often, although frankly I should probably just swear a lot - like all the characters do, constantly. At least they're a colourful bunch of lads.
In any case, it's like a meld between GTA1 and 2, and the 3d versions - much more top down, which I like, with smooth framerates on, for the system, damn good graphics. I like the cop chases (making them crash is sooo fun, GTA IV's system is silly in comparison), the minigames are much more fun, the combat is fine, and touch screen is used well - PDA's rock, so much better then long winded phone calls.
Anyway, give it a try if you have a DS - it's quite addictive, and I've spent enough time playing missions, if that's all you'll do - which also includes neat restart mission features, autosaves, and so forth - and you can replay the fun missions again at any time (a long needed feature, although I don't know if you can do this in GTA IV).
Also, all the islands and bonus missions are unlocked at the start of the game. They're finally learning how open an open world can be and how much fun it is at the start (still a shame they limit most of the weapons, cest la vie). The neat on screen GPS system really helps here
For a GTA game, it's quite a peak - considering it's a handheld too, even more impressive. Thumbs up! Go play, you wanking bastard cocksuckers! I mean, nice jolly chaps and chapettes!
