I quite like it despite being a rubbish, and I mean, last place scout. It needs some skill to get right while moving, but yeah, I see it as a nice bonus to offence and some decent stuff on defence (where the double jump loss is less notable).

Still not sure full stun is a good idea, hmm...

I'm kinda worried, I can't play as well as I used to without the sandman before the update. I've gotten used to being able to charge headlong into someone, bonk 'em, kill 'em. Might stop using the sandman, I like feeling like I've "earnt" my kill playing as a scout. Sometimes sandman feels a bit cheap :/

A scout can mid range stun a heavy and get 3 close range shots off before he can recover to kill him. It's not right at all when a scout takes down a heavy in single face to face combat.

Only in one on one, the use of this weapon in a team game needs a lot more timing, and actual help - the scout is rarely the one to kill the person bonked as far as I've seen (which is one reason it's a very powerful weapon of course, since classes that might otherwise miss the target get an easy few hits in!).

I find that looking for anything decent is like wading through a million mile swamp made of shite. Its an UTTER waste of time and the good stuff is soooo buried its untrue.

They should ban half of the f*ckwits posting there, bleating on and repeating eachother, making no valid points at all.

And the derailments are utter crap too!

they have lots of mods.. but theyre all community members who put thier hands up, not valve employees or devs..
every now and then valve will post something but its never anything that exciting!

My arse they really moderate anything. The level of crap there because there are basically no uniform implementation of good strong rules (I'd start with "Posting in English" for starters) and was a massive influx of lots of people at once and no strong initial userbase just means it'll never be really worth reading.

Those guys there are so introverted they're looking out their own arseholes. Seems most of them complain complain complain making it seem as if every fan hates Valve or something. Even if rules were applied it'd need some decent people to actually discuss something worthwhile, that thread is telling, people can't even read the posts they're responding to.

It's just what happens when you get too large. 100 people can have individual discussions. 1000 and it gets too large, nobody knows your name and the trolling starts. No idea how many users the Steam forums have, but it's pretty much a million dumb monkeys screaming in a box somewhere.
