2Fort - generic, boring, with very few passages - and the middle is too hard to traverse so everyone goes defence, grrrr.

CP_Well - SO FUCKING BIG, and always leads to stalemates since a dispenser location is so near the second point, and the middle one is so far away from the main base.

Other, has to go to CP_Dustbowl_bX which is simply dreadfully made, chokepoint-tastic, has bugs a plenty and invisible walls. Totally unbalanced and unplayable, even if you get past the first point (worse then Goldrush by a mile). Several other PL remakes are like this too, sadly.

This isn't a very common map...I've never played it and I used to play on a server were they switched the customs around quite a bit.

Think yourself lucky. I've had the "pleasure" of playing it a few times. There are plenty of other craptastic custom maps out there, of course, just that one, based off an official map, is really badly made - Dustbowl is really badly suited to PL gameplay, however much they change it.

Maybe the obvious choices, but 2fort, CP_Well and TC_Hydro. 2fort is fun for about 2 mins before both teams have 3 engies each in the intel room and the rest of the team goes sniper for the biggest non-event EVAR, CP_Well is too big for a CP map (love the CTF version though) and Hydro as has previously been metioned is stalemate city, which is a shame because I really like the TC concept. Turbine was close as well, but as thats off this server and I haven't played it for months I've very nearly forgotten the trauma of that freaking map.

Come on, that almost resembles intelligent gameplay. Usually those 3 engies will be 1) in your ramp room (most likely not covering all angles) 2) in front of the enemy base, trying to get cheap kills and 3) in the enemy sewers.
But of course on the ENEMY team you will have those 3 engies in the flagroom (called that for old times sake), so consequently the enemy keeps stealing your case because your D is crap and/or stupid and your O is getting instant return-tickets to the respawn.

I always try to get a teleporter to the enemy flagroom, good fun.

Ctf_Well, Cp_Well and Tc_Hydro. I never really liked Well, too big and boring for my taste and Hydro almost always ends up in a stalemate, which isn't too bad if you have melee SD but the long wait during the round just isn't worth it.

I've actually quite enjoyed ctf_well sometimes. In particular that game the other day medicing (mostly for Harb Smiley), and the internal match we did. The CP version is still undeniably awful, however.
