I just wondered what driver people are using with this card?

Nope, ATI here. (same specs, half price)

I was using the latest when i had one... had an 8800 ultra... but it was a little glitchy
had to underclock the bugger to make it stable... XFX upped the clock but not the voltage which made it crash a lot

177.83_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql with my 8800GT. No issues and has added support for CUDA and PHYSX.

Interesting.... Im running an ultra and get the occasional blue screen.  Which is related to GFX card.  Not thought bout under clocking it

PhysX technology was bought by NVidia so I believe all 8 and 9 series have the PhysX chipset on board already.....  Didnt realise the drivers to make it work were out though...

Nope, no physical PhysX chip (no pun intended) as such. The new drivers accelerate PhysX computations using the Shader Processors, similar to what you can do with CUDA. So yes, PhysX accel will cost you a bit of your gfx performance.

I'm running an older driver (169.21) which i only changed to because steam told me there was a newer driver. How come steam hasn't notified me there is a newer driver?

That's not what steam's meant for. I guess they notify you of an update if your current driver has some mediocre to severe issues with  steam games. And I like it like that, thank you. Wouldn't want steam to be buggering me with "Hey, Listen! There's a driver update!" every five minutes...

I meant a chipset on it capable of running it   Didnt realise it affected other processing on it tho
