I was reading
http://www.ubercharged.net and read Ryebread's class monologues.
Being the little imitator I am, I thought I would take a crack at it.
----------
Through the brass gates, I see a fleet of men garbed in red, watching us from every angle, ready to jump like trained cobras waiting for the prey. A lone wooden cart, bursting and shattered at places from its many journies, is loaded with an enormous blue bomb, a ticking contraption of deadliness, eagerly awaiting us to push it to the opposing force's base. Nothing but sand and rock in this canyon to stop us from doing what we live to do. Kill, maim and destroy any who stand before us.
Through the filtered gas mask, I see my teammates preparing to do battle, preparing to fill this basin with blood. Some of them check the ammunition in their trusty weapons, some of them plan their route around the deadly tracks we must traverse. Some of them simply pray. I do not. I fill my mind with the one thought, the one goal, the one desire I have in this mad, mad world we live in.
To see everything around me alight in a wonderful inferno of mesmerizing flames.
Through the speaker, I hear the authoritive voice announce a countdown to the end of the world. It is time to burn, scold, singe and ignite. Time to go to work.
Five. The Scout squats down, ready to sprint through the rain of bullets. The Soldier reloads his rocket launcher, cackling and laughing as he shouts his war cry.
Four. The Heavy readies his minigun, the chambers whirling and twirling, while the Medic announces he is "fully charged" as he heals his Russian ally.
Three. The Demoman downs his last drop of delicious liquor and roars in drunken delight. The Spy vanishes into thin air, leaving only a faint trail of eerie smoke.
Two. The Sniper takes sight at the target's head, carefully correcting for distance and wind resistance. The Engineer sighs slightly and says out loud it's "just another day at work". We nod in agreement.
One. The nostalgic smell of napalm and smoke flows through me, the fuel to the fire in my heart.
The siren wails.
The gate opens.
The fire burns.
Through the fire and the flames, I carry on.

Yeah, Dragonforce reference there.
The word 'through' is supposed to come up often to focus on the last line. Through, through, through, threw, through, so on.
Yeah, Engineer did the least because... I dun liek him.

I did the Pyro at the Badwater Basin in case you couldn't guess...
