I'm a huge DnD nerd, I go to my local DnD Anonymus self help group, but I just can't get rid of this obsession.

Anyway, to be a bit serious about it: do any of you like DnD, what electronic adaptation do you play, and would you like to play nwn2 motb over the interwebs for example?

I've only ever played 3 DnD games, NWN2 and the Dark Alliance games which were really just hack n' slash. NWN2 was the most buggy game I have ever played. The games updater didn't even work properly and you couldn't download patches manually.

Ah, you installed motb right after the clean install of nwn2. Yeah, it's a known bug. Easy workaround though.

No I never bought MotB. NWN2 was full of bugs from launch.

I played and still play D&D, but I prefer the pen&paper version with friends. I also play other role playing games - Dark Heresy, Scion, Exodus (nobody has ever heard of that one), DSA (Das schwarze Auge - a German P&P that I think was brought to english speaking countries as "Realms of Arcania")...
I usually play a technician, mage, healer or other intelligence based class but I don't get to play too often - I constantly have the duties of dungeon master (let's say 75% of all games). And about the sex thing: My fiancee plays all those role playing games too, so either neither of us won't get any or it works out alright for both.
Of course we all know what happens to people who like DnD...

I don't like most P&P video game adaptions, but I will say the title Planescape: Torment. Don't know the game? Get the hell out of my sight so you can buy it right now. Wonderful storytelling and a bizarre world that really works incredibly well.

I've nothing against these games per say, but where is the evil fun?

By this I mean that there is NO JOY of stabbing your best mate in the back whilst he's not looking, for gunning them down or blowing them up and (best of all) SETTING FIRE TO THEM.

Heaven is being mean, nasty and vindictive to your mates... I just don't get the same fun from the DnD style of games.

I'm just a simple man after all!

Yeah, I tried Balders Gate once, but I just kept thinking 'yeah yeah magic wizard, just give me a rocket launcher and this is over'. Plus it took me about 1h30 to travel two screens away...not for me

I loved the Baldurs Gate games, still have them and am giving Shadows of Amn a replay at the moment.  You can buy both games plus the expansion packs in one box now.

I never got far into Planescape Torment and then I sold it and now I really wish I hadn't

Hated Neverwinter Nights 1, loved 2, one of the few recentish game I've finished.

I liked NWN 1 I think, never tried 2 - worth picking up? I actually have that pack with all 4 I think Milli, if anybody wants it let me know

Thats the one I got, the only reason I bought it was because of the awesomeness of Baulders Gate 1+2 on the PS2. Many a happy co-op session spent instead of going to college! My issue with the D+D games is that they are so $%*^&ing complicated! Srsly, anything more then like 10 commands and I start going cross-eyed!

You can be as evil as your imagination. My half Orc once chopped the end of a party members finger off when he was pointing out where he wanted something chopped.  
Theres also nothing better than thieving from your party members, where the RL people know you've done it, but can't do anything about it because their characters don't know that your character did it

Anyway, not played in a few years, but I used to have a weekly group and played DnD 3rd ed, Shadowrun, Warcraft pen+paper rpg at various times. I wouldn't pass up a game of Munchkin either!
