'ello! I'm Daor. And I'm a cannibal.

I found this community whilst looking for a new TF2, or rather, new community to join. Out of the ones I saw, this looked the most interesting. I don't know how to download an avatar for my profile, or a signature, I think it's the 'My Images' thing in 'Gallery' but I'll find out eventually. Until then, this is me (technically)

I'm hot I know.

In TF2 I have over 100 hours of sniper, my preferred weapon is Hitman's Heatmaker (the best one imo) and a literal jar of pee. But recently I've been playing heavy, and to be honest I'm pretty good at it, most of the time if not always I'm either the top or in the top three players on my team, half the time being MVP of all the players (loads of screenshots on my Steam of the leaderboards)

I laugh a lot, and sing sometimes, I have a sense of humour and pretty friendly. And quite big-headed.

First of all, while I don't want to rain on your parade, while doing well on a valve server is nice, I personally stay away from them as I think the skill level on them is so low I can feel myself become a worse player while playing on them.

But I'm always looking forward to test my skills against other snipers (I also have over 100 hours as the Australian long shoot man, and then some).

The Heatmaker is a good choice, I prefer stock in normal games, but the Hitmaker rules in MvM.

Laughing is good, we liken laughing but I doubt you can out-giggle yer man o'er yonder. He's kinda like a standard everyone else is compared to when it comes to gigglyness.

People are usually very friendly (and many are very skilled) on the server, but it is only active a small handful of hours twice a week .

Only in recent times. Rippy was the real standard, he could go from a spot of light giggling to all out maniacal laughter and back again! I can never hope to match him.

It should be mentioned that this handful of times is Tuesdays and Fridays after 8pm GMT. If you join this steam group you can get announcements for that and Llama nights on Sundays when we play other games.

No, no, Yonder is right..the WDG Community Group is the group you want to join because that's where we put out all the announcements for games

(and I never thought I'd be putting those words together..Yonder is right.....sad times)

But yes, TF2 on Tuesdays and Fridays, a community game on Sundays otherwise just hangout in Team Speak where the likes of Doddy, Spooky and ISPY lurk.

Stock is good an' all, but there's no benefit with precision. Heatmaker is the perfect weapon for people who aim for heads.

If I remember correctly, you need a certain number of posts before you can set a signature/avatar. It's just so we don't get bots spamming links.

It's true that there's an occasional skilled player or three on valve servers, but I'd rather play less often with teams that know what they're doing than playing regularly with entire teams just flailing about with , maybe, one or to good players on either team. It's just not entertaining to me. And this has nothing to do with losing or winning, I'm just easily frustrated when people don't understand even the most basic teamwork, or decides that they should be the fourth/fifth/sixth spy or sniper on the team.

I used to think like that and I still primarily go for the head BUT the kill is more important than the headshot and hitting the body is objectively easier than hitting the head. The heatmaker punishes this style of play.

That being said. According to my strange sniper rifles I still have 80-90 % headshot kill to kill ratio.

It took me a while to understand your logic there, you got your negatives confused. I agree it's annoying that random players tend to go sniper when there's already four, or choose their favourite instead of one that'd be valuable to the team, understand though that without instant communication it's difficult for anyone to coordinate.

Can you point out where, because I can't see it myself. It might just be a case of "English is not my first language".

I understand the bolded part as you saying: "The heatmaker has more damage on headshots than stock". If you're saying this, you're factually wrong.

You're right that damage is more important, so why limit yourself to lower bodyshot damage. I mean, you cannot avoid bodyshot. Those things are going to happen to every sniper out there so why lower the damage on them?

The focus ability from the heatmaker is very nice, but I don't find myself in situation very often where it would help me.
I think the heatmaker is very play style dependent (like all the non-stock rifles) and my play style makes me more effective with stock.
