Remember that fitness thread, yea, I did exercise once.

Here are some of my other hobbies, thought it would be nice to show my stuff off.

Of course you all know of my legendary train sets, and my immense tractors. Pwar, I get a sweat on just thinking about them.

However I also sometimes, not very often have other hobbies.

So here goes.

Musician, I used to be a musician.

I started playing instruments with a penny whistle, yes, I used to blow good. I did that for about a year.
Then I changed school and sort of forgot about it.
At my new school I was told I could learn any instrument I wanted, and being really short at the time, I decided for something small, say... Trombone, Where you make farting noises into a tube, and everyone is impressed. Also a short lived instrument.
Then I got hanging around with the cool kids, cause I could do great fart noises, and they all played guitars, and drums/sang. So they encouraged me to play, I bought a guitar on a Monday night, and by Sunday I felt like a rockstar. Playing Smoke on the water-Deep Purple and One-Metallica. So that lasted 5 years. I used it during my Drama and music exams while also picking up; Mandolin, Ukulele, Bass, Banjo, Double Bass, Viola, Auto harp and A harp. Mostly just for one or 2 songs.
Funny story about my Mandolin performance, I knew the chords, knew the order, didn't have a clue what part of the songs I was at all the way through, but I just pretended like I did, noone noticed. Ukulele I have done a few songs with, Including Groove is in the heart, and Lowrider. My bass experience started with a video games melody, including tetris and super mario themes, then I also played songs ranging from Canon-Pachelbel to Lonely Boys-Black Keys including Coolio-I'll see you when we get there. My renound Banjo career began with ofcoure, dueling banjos, and Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites(That was one hell of a bitch to play, saw fingers and sweaty palms). I played double bass as part of my music GCSE, We performed to about 150 senior citizens. Was brilliant we performed Pack up your troubles, went straight into Pack up-Eliza Doolittle. I played Viola for about 2 mins, I transposed a riff from guitar onto it, for a drama piece, wasn't interested in the instrument but still. Similar things happened for harp and auto harp, so not much to tell on those.

Next up

This is gunna be my Rc Section, So if you have no interest in being lazy, and driving models and stuff. That's perfectly ok with me.
So Rc Trucks, where should I start, probably with my old pc, with all the pictures on. Heh, that's downstairs. So I'll start part way through.
I bought my first Rc Truck in late 2007, the truck kit cost me £185, and controllers and batteries took that price to around £350-400. So my first Rc truck that I still have is a Volvo, 7 years old, and still looks like I should fix it. The oldest photo I can find is after I modified it, so tough, you will have no idea what it used to look like. After 3 years of thrash and several rebuilds.

My second Rc Truck was an american build. Which I rebuilt about 4 hours ago to take this picture. Now this truck has been thrashed much much harder and for longer, thus it's on it's third gear box, and soon needing new tyres. I got it second hand and have had it about 5 years, but it's around 10 years old.

Then we get into more of what I like, my Rc tractors, yes tractors, stop mocking me.
So I cut the second one up from a bruder tractor, and it's got a truck axle, and some steel in the wheels pulls pretty well, and the first is just a toy with expsenive radio gear in.

Ok next up is my thrash toy, only been broken about 5 times. Once with ruined suspension, a stripped gear, broken diff, a broken chassis, and one last thing, a broken cab mount. it started life with a jeep body that I kinda broke when I rolled it down an embankment which I have no pictures of, however it is on a forum somewhere.

I have some more, but I don't have time.

I am into Boxing for more than a year now. We have a nice group there going.
Training is hard and painful sometimes, but its also very rewarding and fun.
I could imagine to expand into mma if I stick to it for long enough or throw in some krav maga just for laughs.

We went bowling last week and want to try to get a regular schedule, like once a week, because it was actually pretty good.

other hobbies are reading, series , going to concerts if I can afford it and most importantly: avoid to work.

I'm not a big player of sports, but I'm a follower of Football (Manchester United), Tennis and F1 (McLaren).

When I'm not killing Banrab I enjoy Reading and Music. Pretty regular concert goer, and may be attending Download festival.

I can play the Guitar and Keyboard reasonably well. Been playing the guitar since I was about 14.

My hobbies involve doing website development, extra LabVIEW programming and doing strange little creative/artsy projects using technology. Things like:

Or other dicking around with RGB LEDs, arduinos etc. I got given 4 decent stepper motors so I want to try and do something with them at some point!

I quite like Cycling but I haven't been on my bike since last summer. I like listening to music - especially in the car - singing at the top of my lungs to songs I really shouldn't even try to sing is my speciality! Not to mention getting drunk and going dancing at the clubbbsssss. I don't really have that many hobbies any more - I'm pretty busy with day-job + extra-work etc.

I'm taking re-kindling an old hobby soon though - going on holiday to Tenerife for 4 days next month and I'm going to do my open water scuba diving course while I'm there. I used to do it when I was about 11/12 but never finished the course so NOW IS THE TIME!
