On Sunday when I tried to log into Mumble I got this;
'a referral was returned from the server'
and I couldn't get in.
A quick google gave the solution; I needed to reinstall.
So I did. No probs but then I found out that along with the download I'd installed this stupid little program called Websteroids which splattered linked ads all over the place and caused a flying saucer to periodically float across my screen.
I removed it okay but it seems that this sort of thing is getting more and more common. One moment's inattention, or fail to select custom installation (which I imagine the majority of people do) and you end up with all sorts of crap getting bundled in with your downloads. What's wrong with a simple advert on a page (I know these people have to earn money). No wonder the likes of PC World repairs are rubbing their hands.
It's rubbish >
