Natural Selection 2 came second. Tribes Ascend did alright. Any other suggestions for Llama Night #4?

In Planetside 2 this Sunday, it looks like RPS (boo) are going up against PC Gamer (huzzah) in a monster battle. PC Gamer are our allies in combat and we fight alongside them. It sort of makes sense that if anyone wants to play Planetside 2, this is the week it gets played as it's in these large organised clashes that the game shines.

CS:S gungame could work, I imagine most people already have CS:S and it's just a matter of finding an empy-ish GG server and people downloading the maps (which aren't all that huge).
I always found GG fun and it works reasonably well for new/unexperienced players.

Oh for Natural Selection 2 apparently there is a reddit server.
I had a chat with the admin about us playing one Sunday and he was cool (I thought we might want a good server). He said he'd password protect it if we wanted to avoid randoms joining...they've got regulars anyway who come on about 8ish.

Why do we only have one random choice. Makes it a bit hard to react to free weekends etc doesnt it? I suggested CoH2 becauses its in a free beta till next tuesday. Could theoretically play a 4v4 game of it.

I put up what is suggested. If I'd known CoH2 was in a free beta I would have put that up as priority. Remember I said I won't necessarily know about free games etc and nor will people who are voting so when nominating a game you have to say. I also have to remember what people suggested the previous week. To be honest anything that helps me decide is good.
It makes sense to put up any game that's free for a limited period which is why we went Chiv for the first evening.

Free beta, yes - but if you havn't played the first one I'd say it's pretty difficult to get into - especially with no tutorial (although there are some tutorial videos) Games that are free to play also have to be capable of being understood/played in a single evening! Please don't moan about the games that are in the vote (especially if your game didn't appear) - if you wanted a game to appear in the vote it should have been suggested but we'll also reserve the right to pick the most 'suitable' games that appear in the final vote. We will always try to take sensible suggestions on board but it may be that it won't appear in that weeks vote etc. as we want to limit the number of options in any one week. |

It was a query not a moan and this is a new thing its totally appropriate to question stuff as feedback which was my main intent (im pretty happy with playing CoH2 in my own time). I hadnt thought to tell berath it was currently free in my suggestion post so that was my fault but good to know its helpful to include a reason with my suggestions. I appreciate CoH2 might not be good for some but thats something to be voted on not assumed (if the game is free anyway)?
