Heres a 17 minute preview

So in (almost) DICE-tradition theyre showing off the boring singleplayer first. Looks pretty, but Im already seeing a ton of the same animations and sounds from 3 reused. Hope theyre showing some online soon. Watch the entire video for some bonus farting sounds at the end.

Idk. Will probably get it whatever happens anyway though I guess this is the start of the "need a new pc" feel.

Watching that trailer I can't believe the du doesn't have any ammunition until suddenly, he needs to shoot.. then he has some... They colud at least have someone throwing him a clip or something.

Did notice that you have some rudimentary squad commands though.

were they really going to evac in that chopper with the attack chopper shooting at them? Player clearly hasn't spent any time on MP or he'd grenade launcher the attack chopper out of the sky.

They seem to have dropped a lot of the "dirty camera lens" effects bf3 had, for better or worse. (probably better, I assume a lot of those affects were to cover up graphical shortcuts, though I liked them myself.)

Biggest disappoint is surely that total eclipse of the heart doesn't keep playing the entire time it's meant to.

I hope not, Im a sucker for that stuff. Thats kinda the reason I liked Kane & Lynch 2, it had this feel of having a dude behind your character filming it panicly with his cellphone where occasionally it would fragment or get out of focus. The new Need for Speed I got in the SimCity "we fucked up"-deal also has those camera-lense-effects. Seems to be a new trend these days besides WOBBLE-interface

I really liked kane and lynch 2 s visual effects too. More games should mess with this.

I really hoped that Blops 1 would have have a cool 1960s kodachrome visual lustre but it doesn't look like it did.

that need for speed is in frostbite anyway so explains why it has similar effects. I'm kinda glad they dropped the blue tint although the whiny about it was way over the top but I feel like everything is just brown poop now instead. And theres enough brown poop shooters, don't feel they've done much to make it more interesting colour wise.

The "Fishing in Baku" video is shot entirely in-game and is the first glimpse of the human, dramatic, and believable single player campaign in Battlefield 4.

Its not as bad as people are saying, it has its moments especially at the end.

Its pretty disappointing that the first videos they show nowadays for BF is their crappy single player featuring macho marines and vehicles as the enemy. Most of the vehicles weren't even new. The russian jeep and attack heli were certainly identical to the bf3 assets, and I saw generic white civilian truck in there that is on every damn map.

Theres also no way DICE are ready for a new game unless they did fuck all with the engine, i'm pretty sure its just tweaked frostbite 2 still. Also even the engine name is a 2143 tease, I think they must have been working on 2143 and then EA shat on it and forced BC2 instead (and now stupidly shortened release cycles and horrendous dlc gouging).

I feel dirty for saying it but i'd rather pay them for some kindof premium 2.0 and just get another year of bf3 dlcs and some engine work. Not like we need or even care about another SP campaign. I don't see why they even consider it a major selling point. Premium and long-term mp sales is clearly where most of the profit is coming from, so why are they even bothering trying to trick a few cod players with shitty sp still.
