For those who need it P-REC has apparently been updated to work now: https://bitbucket.org/olegko/p-rec/downloads (i have not actually tested it yet).

It just left it in the old cfg folders, not moved it all, which is weird to me.

Thanks for the subfolder tip, that system is kinda confusing.
