Let me weave you a tail,
a tail of four men who's Thursday night was filled with the joys of no work the next day, no where to go but a nice calm night in play some good old video games and a beer or 3 (by the end of it all scotch was brought in)
A tail of lust for achievements and sweet sweet gold and most of all curiosity.
What was behind those big doors?
It all started on a sleepy Thursday night......
Mode invited me to play some PAYDAY with him and some chums (Jebus, lefty, mode and I)
So we thought HECK YEAH VIDEO GAMES OMG LOLOLOLOL
The game began with a simple bank vault raid, simple we can do that
as we placed the first drill to get into the room mode suggested that we go into the alternative room, but untold dangers was held within. I have not heard of this room before so it started to eat away at me with questions. What is this room? What dangers are within? who is Jebus? so many questions! I had to continue to find out
Mode gave us strict instructions to not shoot the cameras BUT SHOOT ALL THE MANS
So we did many mans died at this point
but we must press onto the room! we was then instructed to stand in some places to unlock the room! At this point I was so ready for the room
but there is a catch, one dos not simply walk into the room we have to drill it. Yeah that's cool we got this but then the disconnections began...... oh jeezz so many disconnections. Every five minutes Lefty and I repeatedly dc'd it was hard times on Mode as he had to defend the drill at all cost........
Then Mode told us that it will take the drill 30 minutes to get into the vault......I tell you know people that is a long time to fight off a hoard of relenting police officers who do's not care for their own personal safety or our's. Also ammo, damm that ammo we was like vulchers......Like hungry hungry hippos if you will, as soon as the man of the law laid down the law for the last time it was a mass feeding frenzy. Only the fastest would get the ammo, only the strongest of the bride would survive.....
T-minus 3 minutes till the drill breaks through
I dc'd for the last time
I couldn't see the fun action that I heard but by gum! It sounded amazing! It was like hearing the beetles for the very first time
I needed to know what was in that room so we played again! Lefty left but Spooky joined in to help out
so basically the same happened but Mode kept dcing this time, and we had turrets! we got to the door's of the vault. It was so beautiful, I shed a single tear when I saw its perfection. Mode told us to stand back! If we did not deadly gas would fill the room killing us within literally 30 seconds, so we tread carefully, like walking on a bed of delicate lotus flowers to not disturb Mode hard at work to solve the unsolvable puzzle to gain entry to the temple.
Yeah we didn't into the temple
gas was everywhere like ants
so we tried again
OK! 10 minutes to go before the door to the vault was open, I spoke words of wisdom to Mode. I told him that if he balls up again I would go round to his house and cut him.....
Needless to say Mode was a bit on edge with these harsh words so I offered him kind words also wise words to help him through these troubling times.
I told him to go and get a stiff scotch and a napkin, a scotch to calm his nerves and a napkin to mop the beads of sweat off his brow while disarming the vault.....
Mode got these items like a boss
and drank the scotch like a boss

He started to disarm the vault, I could feel the tension building within his voice, the pressure was too much, he was going to crack! He was buckling under the strain, I had to intervene!
So I did the only thing I knew what to do at that time... play soothing music

So I did and the code was broken, as the doors opened we was greeted with wonder and perfection and one of three things that I crave in my life, MUTHER FLIPPING GOLD BARS!
So many! and one achievement! and leveled up a lot! It was a good day
Keep in mind we did this 3 times and each time it took 50 minutes to do..........
TL;DNR took about 3 hours to get one smelly achievement, Mode drank scotch to calm his nerves because we stressed him out.
Moral of the story
Do not let curiosity get the better of you
