The WDG servers are pretty empty till after 8pm and my playing time is often limited from 7ish till 8:30ish (Mrs Bystander watches the soaps I play TF2, marriage compromises are great) so I have been searching for other busier servers.
I used to play on the UK PC Gamer server but the match quality varies hugely and quite frankly they don't present much of a challenge anymore. I tried the NuB server and I usually get well and truly owned without achieving much. Last night I was on the CoW servers (with Dodgy Emu & Cheez) and the level of play and teamwork was pretty good.
Anyone else have any good server recommendations for when the WDG servers are quiet?

If I'm on Steam you could always invite me to the WDG server, I would suppose the same goes for a lot of people. Once you get a few on the server fills up pretty quickly.

Yeah, I'm sure most of the WDG guys don't mind invites (even if we can't actually play). The THG servers are worth checking out, and the Hampshire Heavies servers were very good when I last played, but are often pretty busy. BTW admins:Not sure if this is considered advertising other clans, so edit if you want  |

My usual tactic is to join our server and then spam my friends list with invites. As soon as a few people are on the server, it often fills fast. we are quite popular you know  Unfortunatly, due to family commitments and a 3yr old son with an active imagination, I don't play TF2 until after his bedtime as a rule (otherwise he belts around the house with a plastic baseball bat and his Black & Decker hard hat shouting 'Poonage'!! |

I'd just like to say that it would be great for clan members to consider joining the server when it is empty. I've no wish to try and force people to do this and you are of course free to go where you like when you like My point is that I'd like to see the server fill up without the usual people starting the evening off. I do feel that it is generally the same people who kick things off on most nights. If you were to join an empty server you'd probably get public players on and could invite other WDG players on too. This would also mean that the server games might start earlier etc. I'm also not asking for people to stay on an empty server - just visit for 5 minutes, invite some people via steam friends and nine times out of ten the evening kicks off from there. Are people willing to give it a try for me? |

If there's no one on our server I tend to join either the NuB or CoW server, at least one of the three usually have a good number of people on. Next time there's a few people online I'll try and get things kicked off on our server though.
