I'd like 2 try the dork-com remake of the origs too. Never got into xcom but I think I might like it/be too old for multiplayer games.

pretty much what I expected and not disappointed. But the demo is overly handholding as its all tutorial stuff, second mission lets you do things more for yourself but it wouldnt let me pick loadouts or my team and a lot of decisions get made for you that you'd get to make in the full thing. Really frustrating to end on oh hey yous guys theres a crashed ufo lets check it out. END OF DEMO. For 5GB download I would have liked a bit more freedom on the second mission or something more interesting. Not much point unless you want to check out the presentation/basic mechanics/tutorials.
Love the intro movies and stuff the presentation is great. Especially the intro where xcom is activated.

Actually I felt the demo was just about right. I get a bit annoyed when I buy a game after playing rhetoric demo and have to do 90 mins of gameplay I've already done.
It teaches you the basics and shows brief hints as to more content which will come with the full game and leaves you craving more.

Already been playing for 15 years. First impressions are that the graphics aren't really up to modern standards, but it runs fine on my pentium with Geforce 2 graphics card. Could really use a modern remake imo.

Its just vanilla civ 5 which isnt great. Its missing £23 of dlc thats in the goty and then ancient wonders + korea + gods and kings. And civ is never really worth playing without allllll the things. It could work out cheaper than retail goty if you manage to get all the dlc at 75% off in the xmas sale though. Only by a few £s.

Yeeeeeah. Get that^. And just get xcom from gmg or something. The only thing you'll miss out on is the tf2 hats but meh. Hats got boring ages ago. And I wish they would give out the hats in normal quality if you buy the game later. No reason not to really its already just the genuine quality that is the preorder reward.
Also xcom has multiplayer, who knew? I kinda hoped but the achievements are up and theres one for winning a mp match. Some people are already playing the game according to the global achievements stats grr.
