Is there any way to get rid of cargo? I want to buy a new laser, but my cargo is full and I can't hold any more weapons. I have like 4 small bombs which I have no use for.

I've beaten the game twice and didn't even know you could do that.

Yeah, pretty obvious when you know there is a function to sell, literally had never noticed it before. DERP

brahms bit of advice with boarding. Vent oxygen in sections, you probably wont hurt the boarders but you can force them somewhere then send all your crew to the medbay and gang up. The sad thing is your crew only provide very small bonuses being at their post so you can keep firing away with only a small penalty while you take care of the fight. I got 4 mantis boarding once and still came out on top. Mostly by forcing them to fight me in medbay. They can do a lot of damage though, boarders blowing up a system causes 1 hull damage. The venting helps there if theres no oxygen anywhere else and your crew is chilling in medbay the boarders will forget about breaking other systems.

Boarding robot though is op like crazy. Still not got to use one myself. First time I came up against one someone in sector 1 fired one into my life support. Boarding robots breach as they come in and 150 health. By the time I took out the enemy bot control life support was down. I blew up the enemy ship but your crew refuse to repair stuff until the bot is destroyed so they were trying to kill a 150 hp robot, then fix a breach, then fix life support. Needless to say they suffocated before even killing the deactivated robot.

I took one out once but I think it was in the weapons bay so life support was functional.

The mantis i think landed in engine room, took that out, then took out life support. Then took out weapons. Shields were already down due to general damage. I only had two crew members and it was pretty clear that if I couldn't get shields back up I'd be dead so  Iwas running between medbay and trying to fight in shields. Hull damage got me in the end though.

I'm playing engi A again and straight away im in sector 7. I have 0 problems playing engi A, and Kestrel B is pretty good but kestrel A is pretty bad (I would do better more if I used more missles) and engi B is so hard to pull off. Depends on your playstyle yes but having a good start is so important because of the luck elements and bleh, generally even when i'm doing well I feel like its down to luck. Engi A is a decent ship but I got a ton of stores early, long range scanners, lots of weapons and drones, actually got too many now and trying to find another store to sell stuff. But all that was from dumb luck and there hasn't really been much skill in this run so far. I don't feel a lot of agency in this game, I just plot a course for random chance.

I want the mantis and slug cruisers so I can tool up for boarding from the start, Boarding battles always feel the most involved, that i'm actually doing something complicated other than take out the defence/weapons. My current engi-A has a ton of drones. I just sit back and try not to take too much damage.

About to face the boss, shields and reactor and drones are maxed, weapons nearly but i dont need more power to them. Got 161 scrap i need to spend before my next jump to the boss. What to buy :/. Got no reshirts here this time for no crewmen dead . Also got two anti-ship drones 1 i really should have sold for another 50 scrap but oh well. Think i'm going to upgrade doors and sensors although I only just got enough to get one of them maxed. Also wish I had a missle launcher, I declined a few right at the start as I had none, never found another. Can self heal a ton from all my drone parts and the hull repair drones though.



RIP best cru. I had enough scrap for sensors and doors 3, although sensors 3 doesnt seem to do anything do the boss? I could have done it with a missle launcher or some other gun with a bit more punch. I could punch through level 4 shields but took me too long and couldn't get through the whole thing.

Upgrading your engine is op, evade everything. Also cloaking devices are pretty awesome too. SteAlth ship is cool to play.

I just ballsed up unlocking the stealth cruiser, had multiple options to ensure victory. Instead relied on chance and got screwed, enemy got a lucky hit in and then I missed and they jumped out. Yes I'm doing some cloak runs atm. Just died with reloader+preignitor+stealth weapons + hull laser 2 + hull beam. That ship was a monster, derped and ran low on fuel and got overtaken by the rebel fleet. Just needed a good missle launcher and I was ready to rock. It was deadly in sector 3 and my weapons dude already hit max level.

Have an ok successor now that failed the stealth cruiser quest. Good missles, stealth and cloak, ok laser. Missing a third weapon and the other sweet augs though .

Why don't my stupid weapons charge whilst the enemy is cloaked. It sucks.

Yeah I don't get that. I guess they started doing some kindof weapon targeting mechanic then half assed it. Not sure why sensors don't up your accuracy when shooting anyway. Level 3 sensors are fun but they could give a small accuracy buff and some kindof map benefit.

disco sucks at this game btw, 50+ runs and he hasn't killed the boss yet, I did it on my 12th with the Kestrel Type A!
