Having to worry about saving kills immersion/tension dead

No tension because you just saved ten minutes ago, no immersion because you're constantly hammering save/reload.

I fail to see how tapping F5 breaks immersion when having to hit w,a,s,d,e,j,c,lctrl, left mouse, right mouse and middle mouse dont... and losing an hours play time because you didn't save would seem to be more damaging to any tension or immersion... but maybe thats just me.

I agree with Jebus. I dont mind quicksaving after every corner, in fact thats what I do when a game offers a quicksave option to me. When I started playing this, the beginning was so easy and lighthearted that I didnt do it, but as soon as you get out of the prison and on your first mission it gets quite tougher and I had a bullshitdeath where I couldnt figure out how to properly parry an atack. The only complaint I have is that while it does have an autosave (and apparently tells you about that, I must have missed that), the checkpoints are spread to wide, so when you do actually forget to save and then die, the chance of getting set back multiple levels is quite high.

I do prefer games that save for you though because Im one of those people that abuse quicksave to no end. Once I get the option to do it, I franticly hit F5 after every fight lol. I can see how that can break immersion for some people, in my case I just cant be bothered to replay a part of a game over and over, thats why I always play a game on default difficulty and only go for harder difficulities or special runs (like without killing anyone) after I beat it once.

Ditto, I don't mind quicksave. If given the option I quicksave all the time because I find it annoying having to replay parts over and over again as well. I remember I gave up on Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth because the autosaves/save points were too few and far between and it just got too frustrating -  mind you I should try it again some day, good game.

But more story-heavy/immersive games, I find it more immersion-breaking repeating bits endlessly than I do just getting on with the story on an easier level.

this autosave sucks. It just autosaved after I disturbed a guard. There was even a quiet zone devoid of guards right before it. It seems to trigger off objectives and the journal at random intervals instead of decent map checkpoints. I guess the game is kinda hard to put checkpoints in all the different routes but still this was shitty.

Is anyone else creeped out by the kindof obvious origin of the heart? The outsider is kinda cruel in an uncaring neutral way. Combine that with one of pieros musings on the heart and its just downright cruel.

This bastard key is in dunwall tower, at the end of the waterlock building in the far right corner as you come in from wrenhaven river. Its right under the power supply for the waterlock wall of light. What is this damnable key. A secret? A glitch? Who knows.

Brigmore Witches is pretty good. It expands on Daud's story from Knife of Dunwall quite a bit (Also takes your save from Knife of Dunwall with the chaos level and whatever unlocks you have).
