Anyone else interested in Dishonored? (there should totally be a U in there, but america and all that). Here's the trailer. Basically looks like a Thief/Assassin's Creed/Bioshock/Half-Life2/Deus Ex mixup. It's open world stealth-assassination in a neo-victorian steam-punky kind of setting. Looks interesting. One of the most promising features I've seen is that scripted events don't just spawn actors, the characters will be persistent throughout the game. What this means is that there might be a scripted sequence where a group of thugs mug a woman and you can kill the thugs. However if you meet these thugs before this interaction is supposed to happen and kill them, the mugging will never happen. There will also be non-lethal takedowns and it is possible to disable all enemies by non-lethal means, including bosses. The release date is "2012" atm. Thoughts? |

bioshocky with a touch of singularity for time powers at least when he does that bullet time thing. Looks like it could be good, beth have certainly been moving past their slightly iffy track record seem to be getting better with each game. I hope this one too.

I've been keeping an eye on this.
I like the setting i.e. none of this pseudo-medieval fantasy lark...steampunk pseudo-victoriana is a nice change. Be interested to see how open-world it is.

Tempted too, I havent watched any trailer or footage from it but it sounds like it could be a good stealth game, the PC definitely needs more of that genre, the last good one was Human Revolution.

I'm not convinced atm think theres a chance it will still be a bioshock and not a deus ex. Also i'm poor. Looking at the preorder stuff though there seems to be a mix of assasins creed, thief, and bioshock so maybe it will manage to balance them all or at least provide more fun ways to play than shoot everyone in the face and cast a few plasmid spells.
It outs the same time as xcom and what little money i have is going to be sid's.
