Contrary to my intial doubts I had during the last betaevent, they did alot of polishment and added many cool new things this time. The WorldVWorld got revamped a bit and they now have some proper tutorials so you dont feel completely lost, basically once you enter the battlefield theres an instructor who tells and visually shows you whats important and whats the best strategy on storming the towers or keeps including using siege weapons etc. The WvW feels alot better now and I can see myself playing that for a long time, its basically one giant battlefield conquest map with hundreds of flags.

They also added a new Vista Point system. Every camp, mountain and whatnot now has some hard-to-reach points where you can get some XP and watch a small cutscene showing the panorama, pretty much like in Assassins Creed when climbing the towers. It actually turns the game sort of into a Puzzle Platformer light, theres always one hidden staircase or path you have to find to get to the vista point.

Sofar Ive rolled an Asura Ranger and their starting zone is really well done.

Also the servers were handling it impressively well considering this had the highest amount of participants. I got kicked out maybe twice during the entire weekend and despite some server lag on World vs World on Friday there never was a high latency and whenever I was shoved into overflow the transitions worked flawless.

Overall a very impressive last betaevent where Arenanet showed lots of improvement. Cannot wait for the release!

For those interested in getting some of the "Hall of Monument"-rewards for GW2, Arenanet put up a nice little guide on how to get the easier achievements done.

Me and Burnalot might start doing some of the stuff on there together soon so anyones welcome to join us, I need to level my character up to 20 again first since my old account got wiped :/

Ive bought Nightfall again a few months ago and Im going to get Eye of the North once I hit 20 (since Eye of the North is required to actually turn in those achievements)

If you dont have GW yet, you can get Prophecies (the first game) + Eye of the North for 15 bucks here, probably the best deal if you dont have any guild wars 1 game yet.
