The release date on this was never confirmed or anything Deadly. TBH I never expected this to come out very soon, especially after my impressions with the beta, there are still tons of unfinished zones and dialogue and I think they only really "finished" one of the dungeons sofar.

Then again Amazon has proven to be dickwards again and told everyone it would come out June 29th lol. Now its the end of september but I still think thats very optimistic. Im pretty sure it will come out in november/december, this game is so hyped up right now that it can surely compete with the usual christmas FPS market. The new WoW expansion will probably come out in december too and if theres one thing that MMOs should have learned then its that you should never release your game a few months before a new WoW expansion hits because then people will switch over to it because they get bored after a few months (see Warhammer Online, those subscription numbers tanked deep when Wrath came out).

Anyone going to take part in the beta this weekend? This is the first opportunity that I've had to try it so might check it out if I can get all the downloadage done in time when I get home.

Well, I spent a couple of hours on this over the weekend - worked fine after the epic download.

Quite impressed with it - glad I bought it and I'm looking forward to the actual release.

I also like how the beta asks you how fun you thought an area/instance was - presumably so they can take out / modify the crap stuff - seemed like a nice touch that they're interested in player feedback.

I was vaguely interested in GW2 since everyone seems pretty hyped over it but I'm staying with The Secret World for the time being.
