the wireless receiver is known to damage usb hubs. My usb is a little fucked up and I have a wireless receiver, It might be the cause? Unless you are a wireless everything kindof person probably most of your pc stuff is wired and i'd do the same with xbox controller, I bought wireless with plug and charge kit and its just extra expense for no real advantage when you are playing right up against your monitor anyway. Regret spending the extra money + possible usb damage.

The only reason I would really go wireless is price, as I already have wireless controllers for my 360 anyway, so I don't need to buy any extra stuff. The disadvantage being that I'd need to reassociate the controller with the console or the reciever each time I switched, in which case it might be nicer to have a wired controller just for my PC.

The wired cord is also really long anyway... but if you already have the controller for your xbx maybe it'd be the better deal.
I feel it takes the piss that xbox wireless controllers won't take normal rechargeable batteries.

They do, if you buy the version without the play and charge kit it just comes with a little hollow bit on the back to put two AA batteries in, so you can use rechargeable ones. |
