About a million years ago there was a post about why people choose their game names, and i feel that we need to know that about the newest members, just bloody nosey really. If you are already well established here, feel free to remind us about yours if you want.

I will start. When i started gaming online i was very very bad indeed, even worse than i am now, miraculus i know, so i thought that i would be a curse to any clan stupid enough to let me in, hence, HeX.

Berath is derived from Berathiela

My Monday gaming group had tried to get me into MMOs for a while and I'd resisted. Anyhow we were playing Middle-Earth (MERPS) and Lord of the Rings Online had just come out.

They started playing that. I was playing an elf ranger called Berathiela in MERPS, the name had been thought up by one of them, as GM, an irritating pain-in-the-bum Tolkien know-it-all who I've known for more years than I care to remember every one of which has been pure suffering and tolerance on my part. He convinced me to try LoTRO and to play an elven hunter called Berathiela, just like my MERPS character. So I did and joined his kinship (The Silent Minority). I had to choose a forum name, Berathiela was a bit long. I became Berath.

And have been Berath on-line ever since.

(please note: Berath is totally my idea as a name)

Seriously though, always been Junta in games, but especially relevant when I founded WDG with Papa.

Pronounced "Hoonta" but over the years people pronounced it with the J.

To be honest, mostly for the same reason as Broccoli.
Yer man is a bit of a colloquialism around the British Isles and the o'er yonder comes from my tendancy to use the occasional archaic phrase.

On a side note, I tried to sign in with the apostrophe again. Damn whoever decided not to allow punctuation in usernames...
