I completely understand that a member always has to be able to join and that someone has to be kicked from the server. I've already asked about this once, but it should be random. How come that I always get the feeling to be kicked as one of the first?
Today I joined the server when it was just 3 vs. 3. I was having a good game ... untill I was kicked. Isn't it possible that the kicking is done based on time connected to the server?

theres several options for the plugin that does the kicking. Can be random, but the defaults are usually something like last player to join or lowest score.

It is, and always has been, a random player that gets kicked for the reserved slot.

Firstly, I'm sorry that you've been selected automatically a few times. As Deadly says, it really is set to random.

I also get quite a few PM's or steam friends messages from other people saying exactly the same thing

One (or maybe several) of these PM's were probably from me! When I started playing on the server I was convinced that the system had a special anti-Broccoli plug-in. Several nights I was kicked 2 or 3 times.

I actually think it would be better if it was the most recent joiner. Couple of times when I was kicked I was leading the scoreboard and pushing with uber ready, when pow "Kicked due to slot reservation". Would feel somehow fairer if I'd only just started playing.

you know what really sucks? when 3 or 4 admins are afk/spectator like for 15 minutes, fortunately it happens rarely
they never get kicked (I know they pay and thus deserve reserve slots, but still never get kicked?)
the server it technically reduced on slots for the time being, the server is not full and you still get kicked for other joining admins
maybe you could change this, can’t understand why being kicked for idling is a problem. But of course it’s you decision

Admins have immunity from kicks , sorry, but the clan is run for it's members and we try to reduce the situation where they get kicked Lets just say "a wdg clan member benefit". That said, admins will listen to reason - so we do kick idlers if needed (even our own if they are AFK for a while)

I agree that maybe we should have "last one in" gets kicked.... would be fairer

WDG clan members have immunity from the reserved slot kick too... so shout if you wear the tags and get kicked we need to add your steam ID to the reserve slot list.

As for our regs - do shout, I'll always try and make room for you (I think the leaders agree with this policy of making room for loyal regs). Can leaders clarify this policy for me please?

Yes - we do have a policy whereby an admin can kick a non-reg to make space for a regular - that has always been the case.

I really don't think that kicking the most recent joiner is the fairest method - otherwise the poor person that has been waiting for ages to get on the server gets kicked over and over again.

The fairest way would be for it to avoid kicking someone that's already keen kicked - but that isn't possible.

Brocolli - your issue is probably because I only updated the reserved slot list one or two days ago - but I can assure you it's there now.

As for clan members not getting kicked for idling - if they've been idling for a while then an admin can kick them, that's fine.

We do have a general policy of 'don't sit in afk for no reason if you can help it', so if you notice an admin idling for more than a few minutes without explanation just give another admin a shout and we'll kick them off. The reserved slot means it's easy enough for us to rejoin.
