ofc they picked the bad ending as canon :< but I see a lot of nice little improvements in new things in this vid, although was there any need for a red dot scope :/ doesn't really feel metro to me, like all of a sudden you've jumped into a cod clone, i shall just drop that gun when I find it so nevermind.

Are all the new stealth elements shown off at the start new? because if so I like, all the light dousing and luring the guard with the stew, or am I dense and you could do all this is 2033?

You can turn off lights in 2033. Also: The "Ranger, Easy" difficulty setting is pretty good, though there's no ammo anywhere (each clip you pick up has literally, about one bullet in it) The lack of ammo does at least make it feel a bit more like  it's meant to be. Also the lack of crosshair is cool, at first I thought it made throwing knives impossible to use, but after about two throws I got the hang of it. Lack of filters has been a serious problem though.

i know you can douse lamps, and shoot stuff but can you unscrew bulbs and turn off headlamps?

Oh, sorry. No you can't. You have to shoot lights to take them out.

man, this trailer/short is kinda horrible. They never really presented you with that horror in 2033, you were just happily shooting mutants and dealing with metro biznis

Similar to the dead island trailer in a way. I guess they didn't really present the horror of the nuclear holocaust thing in the first game - because you were already in it - but with some of the gameplay (the vast wide open spaces or the epic tower at the end) they did portray some of it.

nonone should even need this because you should all have bought the thq bundle. Still 8 hours left and for $1 you get metro without fb and other games.

THQ bundle and Metro for free - they truly are doing everything they can to either save their bacon (I heard they were having trouble?!) or to get loads of people playing Company of Heroes and Metro in advance of the new games (which is a pretty clever marketing strategy I think!). I'm sure they've made a pretty substantial sum of money from the bundle sales ($5m gross) if nothing else.

5m is prolly pretty small potatoes for a compy gam company but I want 2 believe so metro2034 comes out. We've already lost Stalker 2. If we lose 2034 as well... I'm not sure it'll be possible to hold me accountable for my actions.

2034/Last Light is the only game I really look forward to besides Walking Dead Season 2, so much that Im holding off on reading the books even though I really want. They better not drop that. Allthough from the trailer it looks pretty polished already, I liked how theres more immersionstuff now with you having to scratch off blood on your mask or unjamming your gun like in FarCry2. The first game had such a great atmosphere and it always felt real, but it had alot of problems which probably were lying in the fact that noone was really expecting this game so they just made it. Now the expectations are way higher and I hope they make the best out of it. If it doesnt have a stupid sequence where you ahve to escort someone through a mudfield with exploding orbs (FUCK THAT PART), I will be happy.

I had mad love for the Ranger mode which wasn't necessarily harder but didn't have a crosshair and some other stuff. When I judged how to throw throwing knives w/out a croshair I felt so balla. last light, dishonored and bioshock infanity are games I've been looking forward to so much I haven't read anything about them.

Do not read the Metro 2034 book, it's horrible, I couldn't even get halfway through and I loved the first book.
