Mixed feelings about the Additions they made

For once its very good that they added some dialogue where the Catalyst explains what exactly it is, who created it and what the Reapers were meant for exactly. That is something I can understand, but what I didnt like is that all the ending options are now being explained every detail for detail. It takes away all the mystique elements of them and it just felt like a boring lecture about Crucible Energy Beams to me.

The new Synthesis ending (which I still choose) was very well done, the new slideshow-cutscene that followed was very Fallout-ish and showed a bit of what the Synthesis has actually resulted in, a peace between Organics and Synthetics.

The new 4th Ending is the stupidest shit ever. I accidentally shot the kid with my gun and it went "SO BE IT THE CYCLE CONTINUES Sad" -> The end, Credits. What

Im glad they added some explanation to why the Normandy went rogue and left Shepard to die but it was very poorly executed. I guess the Normandy can just land right in front of the biggest Reaper in the Reaper Fleet, pick up 2 wounded soldiers and give Shepard some time to chitchat with his Love interest. It felt very unbelievable.

All in all, I guess the additions were needed. I personally liked the old endings more, the ones now do have more explanation and may make more sense but they come at the expense of bad suspense curve and lack of mystique element.

I just checked and eventhough Origin redesigned their shop system, the free patches are still hidden in a retarded way wtf. You have to rightclick the ME3 logo in your library and then go to "Shop for Addons". I thought I had the Earth DLC downloaded the entire time, guess not...

But yeah, cool. I might play some tomorrow.
