noone has really asked me about the server in awhile so its been a bit neglected, looks like we ran out of space in the mean time. Kinda annoying that our host doesn't tell us how much we have available. I've backed up some older worlds and removed them from the server and updated to the 1.4 prerelease. Unless they find major bugs this is the version getting released to everyone next wednesday. http://www.mojang.com/2012/10/minecraft-1-4-pre-release/EDIT. Scratch that still out of space. :/ Think we need to email the hosts. It seems they have reduced our available space without telling us and thats not on. EDIT2. Freed up more space, seems to be happy now. We are supposed to have unlimited space, I feel like thats either a lie or they want us to request more or something. |

Yeah me and Twitchyy kinda stopped playing after the server was crashing for no particular reason (and hand on heart I didn't cause it with a massive hole). Does this mean it's relatively stable again then? |

I dunno, previously when it was crashing it was throwing up out of memory errors. Now it was giving out of hdd space. Can't guarantee it won't go back to crashing all the time but this is basically 1.4 now so if there are still problems I need to sort it somehow. now multicraft is complaining it can't calculate resource usage, that shouldn't interfere with play though? Not getting any other errors but noones been on to test yet. If multicraft can't handle the newer releases that might go someway to explaining some of the problems. Basically I provide the jar to run but process and oversight, resource management like memory and disk allocation is all handled by multicraft. If that is the root of the problem the host needs to update and that will hopefully happen soon. (Last thursdays prerelease is intended to be the release version and signals its time for everyone to update their servers/mods/tools etc).

about to update to 1.4.2 Fixed a severe memory leak in the server. Big thanks to Rickard Åberg and John Marzano for helping me locate this problem. This is what we've been waiting for. If you want to play today grab it from http://www.mojang.com/2012/10/minecraft-1-4-2-pre-release/It goes live on the auto-updater tomorrow. EDIT: Its on the server. |

its lol code for everyone got reset to noob ranking, and therefore people who had since gotten better but had bad matches on their history can now pwn some noobs for a higher ranking?
